Coming from Washington I'm assuming you're traveling on Interstates. I have a chance for a long distance trip this summer. About 5 days out and 6 coming back. I'll have a week at the beach in between. Due to time and distance I'll have to use the dreaded Interstate highways. What is your experience riding them? Is it still worth the trip on the bike even if it is not on old highways or two lane roads?

I did Gettysberg PA in 2014. Interstate out, 2 lane back. You can gobble up
miles on the slab, but it is NO WHERE near the fun of the 2 lane.
The expression of young kid or old man as you roll through their town at
25 or 30mph. Cool parks and old cemetarys, ... It's just better.

Only do interstates if no other road/trail available. Tomorrow be 212 to rapid city. Then straight down to NE 20. For me ryde. Even have rode Spyder down 6th ave Manhattan to Central Park in NY.

Boy, I don't know about the after picture. Fred is already taking up two handicap parking spaces and he's only half way there. :p

Because there were so few people at the park the Rangers said we could drive and park at our leisure. Next month the park will see a hugh increase in visitors and driving and parking restrictions will be enforced.

Going to Deadwood I will be traveling interstate to Drummond, go south on Hwy 1 through Phillipsburg and anaconda before hitting interstate just above Butte and Billings. South of Hardin I will take 212 over to Bell Fourche and down through spearfish to deadwood for the 3 wheel rally. On the way home from Deadwood through to Cody Wy and into Yellowstone. From yellowstone up through virginia city to Butte and catch the first day of Evil Kneival days, next day to St. Regis and Quinns hot springs before heading the rest of the way home. Have 2 weeks dedicated to the trip so should be a blast.
