My 2015 F3S keys do not have a hole in the body for a
key ring. Can I safely drill a hole in the top of the key
with out messing up the security chip? I would like to
hang my gate and door opener on the keys if possible.

Thanks in advance.

If you take a pin, it's easy to find the spot to drill; the pin will push right through the key, and happily bury itself into our other hand... :yikes:

There are a lot of nice key holders that give you the key ring option without having to drill a hole in the key. I use the sheath which works well and has the key ring hole at the bottom....choices choices...:dontknow:

Fyi few options for keyrings http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=128386&stc=1http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=128388&stc=1 & my fave keyport:http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=128389&stc=1
https://mykeyport.com beware on drilling as the chip is super fragile & better to clone first!

Just use the smallest drill bit that you can.
Make the hole JUST large enough, for your keyring to fit... tightly! nojoke

Whoops, no longer in stock, not sure it will be according to Amazon. Makes me wonder why Amazon continues to show it.

But obviously not! Anyhoo, as the man says, STOP!!!! Don't do it! There's a better solution than drilling & risking your key-chip!
