Many thanks to Jacob and the Team at Lamonster Garage.
Had my Spyder Decals delivered this week and made up my
own Arc Reactor Ring, Ring of Fire, whatever you would like
to call it for the rear trunk light.

All fits well and many thanks to The US of A for your assistance
Sorry about the reflection in the photo

interested on where you got the "ring of fire" and how much it was. did you wire it to the 12v plug in the truck or to something else?

Hi All

Firstly I am not here to recommend this method over what the site sponsors have available, I am a big believer in you get what you pay for.

I have spent 15 years as a mechanic followed by 25 years with The NSW Police, however, it came a time where I needed to provide more
support to both myself and family. As such I had to retire as I couldn't see the forest from the trees.

Like (Mike) (BLUENIGHT911) I like to play in the garage and if there is something I can do as a project, I prefer to do it myself. You are blessed
in The USA as your site sponsors and vendors have a large range of Farkels available at competitive prices.

In the land down under it is sometimes cost prohibitive to purchase overseas products and have them shipped to Australia, the Australian dollar value only
impacting more on the decision.

As a guide I will supply links to the parts I have utilized via eBay, I have no affiliation with these suppliers and offer them as a guide only

For the LED Strips I utilized 3528 LED Strip with 120 LEDS per metre. I used white PCB and colored it red with a permanent maker, you can also use
black PCB if you wish to disguise the strip more

LED RIng Diffuser - 70mm

LED Ring - 70mm (You need to select your color and size)

Wiring Connectors

3 Way Splitter

The LED Rings (Halo) come with a resistor wired in line - DO NOT remove or bypass this or damage WILL occur to the LED Ring
The LED Ring will only function as a Brake Light

You will also need 2 x 12v 5w Zener Diodes and a 300 ohm resistor for strip wiring, this you tube clip explains the setup

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfNZ4YXCy3s&index=8&list=LLXV1irQII4BHGs6tS99npwQ

I removed the left rear tail light assembly, posi tapped the White (Brake) Orange (Park Light) and Black Earth wires, ran them as described in the you tube clip
to the splitter which feeds the LED Strips and Ring

Have attached a mud map wiring diagram as a guide.

Please note this is a guideline only and if you do not feel confident or have the expertise in carrying out this procedure I recommend that you utilize the services of the site sponsors

Thank you for posting that. But I bought mine from TricLED and couldn't be happier with it. I'm not that mechanically savvy and have to rely on our great vendors.

you realize an arc reactor is patented technology of Stark industries and as their senior lawyer i am letting
you know to cease and desist or we will take legal action and send war machine to kill you. :lecturef_smilie:

Well, I knew that I couldn't live forever :yikes:

Apparently Johnny Cash also has the patent for the term Ring of Fire
