Nice :thumbup::thumbup:........I see you have the LED strip in the trunk separation.....Mine wasn't as visible as I wan't it to be. So I knew the trunk had an upper and lower part.....the lower part ( inside ) is what seals the dust and moisture out.....I didn't want to trim the upper part......how I got more visibility was to put 3 - 3/16th" thick washers I cut from some plastic tubing I had. I put them between the upper and lower sections on the 3 screws closest to the rear edge........This made the space larger and the LED's more visible, and the trunk still has a tight seal .......Mike :bbq:

Hmmm! I guess I'm gonna have to keep an eye on that! The 3 screws that you are taking about, are those the ones on the lower panels? Thanks Blueknight!

No .. If you open the trunk....look at the inside upper panel....the one with the Hinges....there are six screws....if you take them out, the panel with the hinges stays attached ......The outside panel ( the painted one ) will just come off ......put that aside....now close the lid.....see those three holes in the front.....that's where the spacers/washers should go ( I glued mine after I figured out how thick they should be - it makes it easier to re-assemble )......after putting in the spacers .....re-attach with the screws......the trunk will still be water-tight as before - because the inside LID has the seal........I think this explanation makes more sense.......It's too bad no-body reads any other posts but the OP's.........Mike :bbq:

Good idea, but in Chicago we only have to seasons! Winter and summer! I don't enjoy riding when is cold! Besides, there still to much salt on the streets! Don't want to mess up my bike! Thanks!
