So on a whim I decided to stop by my local dealer to see if I would be approved to trade in my 2010 RT for a 2015/16. About a year ago Mr. Sheffield said no. Owed too much on the 10. This time they said yes. I can get the 16 for 7+ percent interest for 6 or 7 years or the 15 for 0 percent for 5 years. Well duh. I got my sights on the yellow bird SE if they can locate one. Otherwise I will take the white. Red and black are the only other options and the wife does not want black. I have only 16 mos left on the 10. The 15 is a much better bike plus it's only adding three more years of payments. I see no reason to pursue the 16. Can anyone think of one? And why is BRP cutting back on the colors for the 16?

Star Harbor Fdederal Credit Union in Rancho Dominguez CA....there rate for Spyder is 1.49% no fees. Contact person for lons if you are interested is 310-537-8271 ext 1024 person name is America. And with 0% on the 15 IMHO it would be the 15!!!

I see no reason to pursue the 16. Can anyone think of one? And why is BRP cutting back on the colors for the 16?I agree. For the difference in price, I see no reason not to get a 2015. I noticed that for 2016, you can only get the base model in black. That is curious, but the "S" and the "Limited" also come in red, white, or blue. BTW, I'll bet they'd throw in a free 3-year extended warranty on that 2015 model if you pressed them a little.

I would shop around a bit for financing. Mr. Sheffield seems to have a high rate compared to some.

I will bring up the subject of dealer reserve here. On some finance contracts, the dealer gets a cut. For example, They say 7% is the rate. Its really 4%. The dealer gets a check for the difference between the 4% and the 7%. You pay the 7% to pay off the bank.

The 1330 is a great machine. I traded my 2010 for one of the first in 2014. No looking back there.

7% no good, definitaly get the 15. I actually didnt think the fog lights, passengers heated grips and LEDs were worth the 3k extra for the S but i seem to be in the minority there. The button adjustable suspension was nice but you can manaully adjust on the base and i liked the base fenders better. Good luck! I have the pearly white 15 and it really is sharp looking, plus it kinda matches my white yamaha :)
