I must say, after growing up on a farm and handling the pig from birth to the table, we did it differently. I still love it, no matter how it is done. Some of the "How It's Made" episodes can ruin a meal, but that one did just the opposite. Now I want some bacon.

Now I want a BLT, and I don't have B or L or even T.

If you consider bacon grease a beverage then you really love bacon.

I have a similar jar on my stove to keep bacon grease. Not for drinking, but definitely for cooking in cast iron. Great for green beans, corn bread, etc, etc...

MmMmmmm... :bbq:

Raised lots of animals. Yep we handled it differently but the end results were the same. GREAT BACON and other pork to enjoy. There was not a part of the pig that was wasted..

Where I come from in South Coastal Georgia, we used all the pig but the Oink. Nothing wasted.
