I like the NBV. Your legs aren't spread out as much so it's more comfortable.

Adjustable, and quite comfortable. I enjoy being able to stretch out my legs while on the road.

I like the RIVCO's. They mount close in, like the Lamonster's NBV's, but you attach them to the floor boards, like the FBB's. More info here (http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?78879-RIVCO-RT-Highway-Peg-Mount-Set-Review).

The FBB's (Pam's picture above) could be adjusted a bit lower for longer legs, but they are also positioned further out, which could be uncomfortable for some folks. All highway pegs for the RT seem to have both good points and bad points depending on what you may be used to and your comfort level. IMHO, they are all a little awkward on an RT to a degree. I don't use mine as much as I thought I would, but maybe that's just me.

I have a set identical to Pams on the way from a fellow,Spyderlover member! I'm 6'3" so I'm hoping the extra stretch room will be appreciated on the long rides.

I used Lamont's NBV brackets but made my own upper link instead of using his 20° links. You can see it here. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?68323-NBV-peg-mounts-My-mod-for-it&highlight=lamont+bracket

Thanks to everyone who took time to express their opinion or experience with the brackets!:clap::clap:

Leaning towards the NBV mainly because of how it looks and fit on the bike! (Almost hole bracket is hidden with the NBV) Thanks for your honest opinion!

While I realize that this isn't a direct response to your OP, would you consider the Madstad footrest ? They are well made and don't require a lot of added parts bolted on. It looks like they came on the RT.

Well one good reason to not consider the Madstat is that they no longer seem to be available. :dontknow:

I have had two sets of Rivcos for Spyders and like these a lot. I was the first customer for them on the Spyders and never looked back. Nice folks to deal with. They also come in Chrome, which I have on my RT Limited and are available in Black also.

Ok, so since pegs are on my short list as well I may as well ask this question here. In Lamonts install video, I believe on the FBB's he mentioned why his were setup the way they were compared to a competitor and the reason was the other guys ones would get caught on the plastic guard in an emergency floorboard release. Looking at the Rivco setup I have to assume those are the ones. At least from pictures it seems that if the floorboard drops in an emergency the bracket/peg will be held up and caught on the plastic. Can someone with the Rivcos confirm that? As nice as they may be, I'm a safety first guy so I would have to skip those just for that reason and go with the NBVs.

I do like Idaho's mod with the different angle, as I can see that maybe helping some/many. Perhaps Lamont can make those in a few different angles and either include them or have them available as an 'add on' or something so we can easily change the angle if needed?

Try " madstad foot rests" in your browser. I did and found that they are still being offered for sale at $249.95. Try this and enter the year and model. Please share what you found.

We'll have to agree to disagree ;) I think the page you are referring to is this one (http://www.madstad.com/s.nl/it.A/id.892/.f) which I believe is an old page that Madstad never removed and is only accessible through search engine cache. If you click on any of the menus you will see their only active pages are for windshields for RS and F3. Also this (http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?44827-looking-for-Madstad-footrests) thread indicates they stopped making them in 2012.

My guess is if you even made it through payment screen Madstad would send you an email saying they apologize that page is a mistake and refund your money.

But I guess ultimately if you are interested, contact Madstad and get confirmation from the horses mouth.
