Trailer Brake Light Failure

I have a 2012 RT. The brake lights work fine; but when I plug in my Spyder trailer, the brake lights on the trailer do not work.all other trailer lights are OK. I need a dummies guide to tracking down and fixing the problem. Thanks.

What kind of wiring harness do you have? BRP or aftermarket?
What kind of trailer do you have? 622 or Freedom or other?

Do a search on trailer module. There have been problems in the past with the BRP module. It has been discussed a lot in the past. I'm sure you'll find your answers in previous posts.
