The new lead laws are creeping into everything, my other hobby(R/C planes) has been really affected. Now I read a cycle news story that is causing motorcycle parts to be held up, even if in stock. This doesn't affect second hand, only initial first time sales from vendors/dealers.

I have not heard of any cases of Spyder owners licking their parts. That's not an opening to go back to the "member" thread.

If it's a part that's shared by kid and adult vehicles...it's affected.

My understanding is that they have delayed putting that law into effect, at least in Cali. - that was from my dealer who was worried.

The law was for kids up 12 or 14, don't remember the exact age.

True, but if the part on the kids yadda yadda yadda was also used on your badda bing badda boom...it could be held up.

Hey, I grew up with lead paint on my crib, walls, etc. And, I appear OK, right?
