I just got a quote from TD Insurance $1672.00 for the coming year. I have a good record but not a heap of money. Anyone out there from Canada know of a company offering insurance for a smaller heap of money? I would feel truly Blessed If I got some help?:yes::yes:
I have a RT Limited not one of them nitro models:banghead::banghead::banghead:

If you are a new driver then Intact is your best bet. That is who my wife is with for her F3. If you have more than 8 years of driving experience then give Dalton Timmis a call. They have a company that insures more seasoned riders for a lot cheaper. By the way, call Dalton Timmis anyways, they will find you the cheapest insurance for everything. They did for us. We saved about $600 when we got quotes for the cars, home and bikes. Talk to Mark Hedley.

Yep, $139 a month seems a bit high. Mine is $47 for the 2014 RT-S.

Best advice is to shop around and see what is available. My carrier insures my home, my car, and both :spyder2::ani29:--so I am subject to some discounts.

Lots of factors involved in pricing--so its going to be between you and the insurance carrier you choose.

I have had a motorcycle license since 1963 but have not ridden in the last 30 years, My insurance for a 2015 RT Limited is $998.00 with Certas, former State Farm. My Deductable and Comp are $500.00 each. I'd give them a try!!!

Wow , did they offer some lubricant when they stuck it to you ? Perhaps age, driving record, accidents may be a factor ? If not keep looking for another broker. Perhaps consider combined insurance. When I got my spyder the only insurance company that would insure them was 300 miles away. Now my insurance company recognize's them and my rate dropped in half. Pay's to shop around. Insurance in ontario and BC has been a cash grab by the Government for years. good luck.

Check your credit rating......it has a lot to do with insurance costs.

I had both bikes insured through Primmum for years. Very good "mature rider" coverage. TD Insurance bought them out. Got my renewal from TD in December for close to $ 2,400.

Called and asked why? Seems TD doesn't want the motorcycle trade. Transferred over to Intac and saved $ 900.

Good luck on your search. I firmly believe we Ontario riders are being gouged big time.

I was given a quote of $1,500 from TD Insurance last spring. Went to Intact and it was just over $800. This is for a 2015 RT-S with Full insurance including collision and vehicle replacement.

And this is including an accident in 2014 where I wrote off a new 2014 Triumph Trophy SE.
