Good one Bob

Looking at most one more full winter in upstate ny.

We always spend a couple weeks in south.

It will be more like 2-3 months in near future

God willing

I lived 3+ years in the North Country, Watertown, the last winter I was there turned me off on winter. Check the winter of 1962-'63 and you'll see why.

 The Weather Channel was saying that we hit minus 14... http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=124221&stc=1

But we actually did only see minus 11 on our porch!

I've been looking back through my journals, and I've been unable to find a temperature that low for Grahamsville, since I started recording this stuff back in 1978! http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=124222&stc=1

I lived at the Mohawk Garden Apts on Ringdahl Court back around '75-'76 when I was stationed at Griffiss AFB. I remember snow banks alongside the road that were at least 8-10' high.

Don't quite get that much snow anymore still get the cold.
I was stationed in Virginia then.

Those apartments are still there. They just re-did the whole complex about 3yrs ago

Well, not 100% true. I lived in Louisiana from 1991 to 2006. I retired from Uncle Sam and moved back home to Idaho! I wanted to go back to where summer is summer and winter is winter and the two don't mixed up together! :ohyea:

On second thought, maybe I don't count. I was just a damn Yankee, not a native born Southerner. It probably would be hard to find a native born Southerner who has retired and moved north!
