Hi all I've been building my own wheelchair rack to go on my Spyder ST Limited 2015, the only thing i need to do is purchase red stop/tail lights because when my chair go's on to the rack it covers the standard fitted lights, would appreciate as much info as possible thanks in advance Mark

Truck chrome shop has nice LED lights that can work. Have got a red LED light bar with brakelight in running lights.

Thanks for posting the photos it makes it clearer to see what's likely to be blocked. Nice bit of work there.

I see you have the same 'bat' indicators with the red reflectors around them that we have here in NZ (in the US I believe they don't have the red reflector part). I'm guessing those are far enough out so you don't have to find a replacement for those as well?

One thing I would suggest is not mounting anything more on the rear mudguard if you can help it. The struts at the side have a habit of cracking after a while anyway and adding any extra weight doesn't help the situation. I'm guessing you should be you be able to mount lights on the frame you've built?

As you have panniers one option is to replace the reflectors with lights. There's a US company called AdMore Lighting that does a kit with rear + brake or even rear + brake + amber indicators. These are for the Givi V35 panniers put should also fit the Can-am ones are they are identical. I have seen them on a bike here and they worked well. http://www.admorelighting.com/side-mounts/Givi-V35-side-case-bi-color-LED-light-kit-RY. Just checked and they have Spyders listed as a wiring option:-)

If you go DIY you need to be slightly careful tapping into the rear light circuit as nanny detects changes in draw on this circuit and will put you into limp home mode if it thinks the rear light bulbs have blown. You should be fine adding additional LEDs if you keep the original lights in place as the resistance should be sufficient to keep nanny happy - just be careful if your thinking of removing/replacing the original rear lights and just going LED.

Know Custom Dynamics offered a set would fit where the reflective tape is on bags. Dont know if it did tail & brake or just one.
