Yes, I thought my worst nightmare had come true.
The other morning I lay in bed with my wife and girl friend.
Edit note, Upon re-reading this, I probably should hasten to add that my wife of 42 years and my girl friend of 46 years are the same person.
Lest you get the wrong idea.
Now that little faux pas is averted, I'll continue.
I was nattering on about Things That I Consider Important as I can do.
After probably several paragraphs I stopped in a place that should have elicited a response.
Nothing.
I repeated the nearly rhetorical question.
Nothing.
A third time.
Nothing.
Then it hit me.
I finally had done it.
I had bored her to death.
Luckily, just a bit later I heard her cute little snore.
