All we hear "up north" is about the massive flooding in MO. We're hearing "State of Emergency", "Levees are in danger or breaking", "I-44 closed in some areas". What a way to end 2015 and start 2016. Hope Springfield is OK.

I believe the Best Western Coach House is sold out for certain days during the fest. I was able to get a room for the 28-30. When I tried to get one for the 26th and 27th I was told they did not have any rooms left at the Spyderfest rate. Just a heads up for those wanting to stay at the BW Coach House.

Registration number on line does not signify your registration number as individuals will be registering via mail.

Just booked our room at The Lamplighter North....WOOHOO, our first Spyderfest. See y'all Thur evening. We'll be coming in from southern WI if anyone is interested in a group ride from any point. So exciting...we overwhelmed the server and I KNOW FOR A FACT that they increased the server capacity and we still did it....I started at 10:01 (Pacific time)...finally got to register at 10:18 and still was not in top 777...so no goody surprise for this ole' Spyderlover.....but other than going into a very deep dark depression I will be OK...cause I am registered for Spyderfest 2016 and PayPal assures me it is a done deal......Whew that was exhausting New Year is going to have to ring itself in all by it's lonesome....My sadness over missing out on a surprise has me sucking my thumb and feeling sorry for myself...:yikes:...but I will soldier on...now becomes the 111 day countdown until departure for Springfield, MO and the premier Spyder event..:yes::yes:

Spyderfest gurus aka Pitbull Powersports and MoGang confirmed that the # we got is not our actual registration # but some random numbering system. Cruzr Joe wanted me to not be in "poor me" mood and let me know that even tho my # was 935 I was actually in the coveted 777....so I slept like a baby. And now I have started countdown to departure day. 111 days :yes::yes::yes:

I like so many others started at 12:01 to register and kept getting bounced out, but I finely got to the pay for it at 12:15 only to find out that you have to pay by PayPal.
Since I steer clear of PayPal as much as possible they did not have my current CC on file and would not allow me to add my new card at the pay now:banghead:

I then had to go into PayPal to add the new card, and then go back and log in to the pay now to complete the payment.

Finally completed at 12:28 and received number around 910. So I started :cus: and :cus: :gaah: PayPal again!

Reading all your posts from those that were able to register before me and still having high numbers makes my morning so much better as I now think that I have a shot at being in the vaulted 777 :yes:

Folks consistently ask wow your 6th doesn't it get boring and my answer is always IT IS THE PEOPLE...Spyder lovers are reallly special and of course I'm a salesman's delight so vendor village is an attraction I like. Then there are the rydes and the special activities and of course the just sitting around talking. Yep Spyderfest is the BEST. :thumbup::thumbup:

The number we received apparently has nothing to do with the time or order you were in when your purchase was confirmed.
Mine went through at about 12:15 and my number is 922....I see others here that were well after 12:15 but had a lower number than mine....I can see why a person can still be in the Lucky 777 and have a high confirmation number.

I can attest to how bad this "SpyderFest" thing is.....both my wife and I are sick....I know....being sick on New Years Eve is not at good start to the year but anyway........I was in bed, sick, trying to fall asleep but set my alarm to go off at 11:50 pm so I could get out of my sick bed and go to the computer to wait for 12:01 to take place so I can get registered for SpyderFest.....not feeling good at all and then I kept getting bounced off the process time and time again. At one point my "Cart" showed I owed $499.50 for two tickets! hehehehehehe It really was not a good experience being sick and getting thrown out time after time but guess what? We're in and when SpyderFest takes place we only have to drive across town to get there! However, as we Spyder Ryders know...it's as much about the trip as is it the destination!

So glad you will be joining us. Don't know if the Lamplighter is fully booked or not, but I would call them as I know the Best Western doesn't have rooms available for the full time. Hopefully this week we will have a couple more hotels posted as Spyder Friendly.

Events, well MoGang has a planning meeting on the 9th. So more details will be posted after that.

The host will have some fun things to do at the hotels at night. There will be group rydes on Thursday and Friday. Friday night will be a very special surprise. Which I am sure the plans will be out of the bag way before SF. Casino night, auction with Spyder Bucks. Make sure you bring lots of $$ for vendor village!!! The vendors will be updated on www.spyderfest.com as applications are received and approved.

Since you are from IL I am sure you are well aware of what mid-west weather can do. One minute 70 degrees and sunny the next 55 degrees and raining or 30 degrees and snowing. So just make sure you have appropriate weather gear.

We are good. Kev and I are on high ground. Some of our other spyder friends or their families might not be so lucky. I know that Patti McBride posted a picture of water right up to her mom's house. Mom was ok, but don't know about house.

Finally got it to work for me. Got registered and counting down the days. Headed to the Dragon and Smoky Mountains for a week of riding before I come to the Spyderfest. Got to make the best of my time if I'm coming that far. Going to be a great two weeks. Got to get to the Fest Wednesday so I can get in line for all the Farkels I plan on adding. This will probably be my first and last so I've got to make the best of it.

So that 40 plus hour a week job, that pays the bills, gets a big chunk of my focus. So SF is my night and weekend job.

Well it looks like I'm the only one from Canada coming so far. This is my 2nd Spyder but my first Spyderfest and i'm pretty stoked about it. Got my room booked at the Lamplighter already.

Mentioned this event to the local club but I'm pretty sure they think I'm crazy for making a trip like this :) Considering last year I went from Edmonton to New Orleans, this is a short trip.

This is the tentative path I'm going to take to either get there or take back after its over.

I will probably take the above route back after Spyderfest as I'll have time before I have to go back to work. I will probably race down via: Edmonton > Regina > Minot(ND) > Fargo(ND) > Souix City > Kansas City. Plan to do that in a little over 3 days.

There are no fee's for vendor village.

Except what the vendors get when you buy something.

Wife and I finally got our bosses to ok the time off, almost. We will both have to work Wed. the 27th. But will be hitting the road late that day (around 9pm). This will be our fist long ride on my 2015 RT-S I bought 6 weeks ago. Google says it is just over 610 miles from home to Springfield. I have conformation for room at Lamplighter Inn. Home is SW MI. We'll be a few hrs ahead of ya. We plan to leave southern WI Wed morning. We're gonna stop about half way Wed evening and arrive in Springfield on Thur. am sometime. It's 550 miles for us but we don't wanna push it all in one day. We plan to take the secondary highways down and just enjoy the ride, with a few stops along the way. Getting there is half the fun. We don't ride the interstates unless we HAVE to. Bikes were made for two lanes....:p

No need to wait for com gear. Contact "Motorcycle Dave" a sponsor here. Great prices on SENA units. There was a vendor, I believe Pitbull, that was selling BRP branded gear at extreme discounts. Like 50% off. Another vendor had discounted gear also. So bargains can be had. The other vendors were full freight, but usually threw in installs for free. Bring lots of CASH! No sales tax that way. I brought a lot of cash, still had to use credit card. LOL Tom :spyder:

I hope someone will please fix this error. The drags bring lots of people in who would not otherwise attend SpyderFest. Old school or lights, makes no difference. It's about the race.

OK sorry, I haven't been on here. Work has been totally crazy, plus somehow my notifications quit showing up in my email. Technology does not like me recently.

Update on a couple of things.

Sorry Yazz, no drag racing this year. I will add to the suggestion box for next year.

Also, if someone hasn't registered yet, please do. We are almost at the 777. Actually we have more people registered for SF 2016, than we had same time last year for SF 2015. So we should have pretty darn good party.

This year is also the 90th Anniversary of Rte 66!! So we will be having Route 66 Casino Night!!! It has been reported that "Elvis" will be in attendance for a limited time at Casino Night!!

MoGang will be making sure that you have your wristband to go on the rydes, participate in the byke & light show, meals, games, casino night and auction. So please make sure that you register. On line registrations will be open until April 5, 49.95. On-site registration will be $60.00.

Best Western and LampLighter are booked, but Econo Lodge still has rooms at a great rate.

MoGang met this weekend and worked on finalizing items. We will be able to release names of vendors in a couple of weeks. Make sure to check items out on www.spyderfest.com

I have updated the list of those registered, or should I say, I have added to it. There is a 2nd section for those registered after Feb 15th. I have also posted the schedule of events. Please remember that we run on LST (Len Standard Time) and times are subject to adjustment. So please don't stress out it it says something is going to start at 6 p.m. and it doesn't start till 6:30. :yes:

What some individuals don't realize the reason that all these events are going on is because 7 years ago, a few people who lived around the little town of Cuba, Mo, got together and put on the first SpyderFest. I wish I could say I was there from the beginning, but I can't. Kev and I started in year 3, 2012, and we dove in up to our necks!!! For those of you who were at Cuba in 2012, when Len told Kev he was going to do fireworks, light and run........... Well this pair doesn't do that. We had it all wired together to all that we had to do was push one button and watch it go. Ticket Bait said it was better than San ....... wherever in the hell he lives, California. LOL (By the way has anyone heard anything from TicketBait???)

So be prepared, Lucky 7's is almost here and it is going to be one ____________ of a party!!

I've been at Spyderfests of all weather varieties...let me say with Vendor village inside...let Ma Nature do whatever she chooses...hey you with working memories.,.remember first SF in Springfield area? Outside vendor village...pouring down rain...wind so strong the tents were "sailing"...vendors so cold they couldn't move....yep just having indoors vendor village is like OMG this is awesome.
Then the year the traditional MUST DO Len's Pie Run got rained out....did we miss out on any delicious pies or fun with fellow attendees? NOT one little bit. So what do I need to maximize my enjoyment at Spyderfest no matter what the weather? A great set of rain gear and a great adventure laden attitude. BRING IT...I'm sooooo ready (almost!!):yes:

Is the event that is listed as the Ozark Dam Group Ryde on Thursday a ride to the dam that is known as Bagnell Dam that forms the Lake of the Ozarks? Will there be very much, if any, duplication of routes traveled on the Ozark Backroads Group Ryde on Friday?

I can not answer with 100% certainty. But Ben and Bev Stillwell have a home down on Table Rock lack and they have ensured us that the rydes are spectacular. I am sure there might be a couple of miles that you have to travel on the same road in each ryde but it is probably just to get to a different area. I am in the process of getting the ryde book together and should hopefully have all that information this weeks sometime.

Side not for the day -- with that darn GM having Kevin work 6 days a week, seven if he wanted, 2nd shift, it is ___________!! Me being lady I won't curse. (am getting a laugh out of some of you especially Bob D??) Thank you to everyone, but hope you realize you don't have to!! Yes I do love my wine, and this started more as a joke than anything. But I will not kick a gift horse in the mouth if they bring me wine. I love my Spyder Family so much!

On another note..... most of you may have not realized that I don't my my motorcycle qualification. In Missouri 2 step process, written test, get permit, then go back and take your skills test. Well I passed my written test and now have my permit, so watch out!!!!!!!!!!!!
