Anyone Tried These Highway Pegs on their RT?

I would be interested in comments from anyone who has used this same company's highway pegs which mount directly onto the BRP floorboards.

I have not tried those but the design looks decent. I'm guessing all you need to do is drill a couple holes in the floor boards and bolt them on. I don't think his price is at all out of line.

I have a '15 RTL and had the dealer install both highway pegs and rider's backrest. Not only do I think this makes for a very comfortable ride but it makes operating the brake much more convenient in that I can hit it with the heel of my foot.

No drilling required for the ones made for the standard pegs. They just attach using the existing bolts.

If you're looking to stretch your legs forward I've got my doubts about these. It looks like they don't bring your feet very far forward. I have Lamonster's NBV pegs with my own modification. They sit just above the back end of the deflectors, which is somewhat farther forward than the ones above. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?68323-NBV-peg-mounts-My-mod-for-it

Agreed, but my wife is pretty short so she doesn't need them very far forward. I just looked at the NBV's and the installation and I might go that way, but I'm still intrigued by the ones from canamspyderaccessories.

Looking at how close these are to the plastic fin, I wonder if they will hit it and keep the floorboard from dropping down in hard braking situations. Wouldn't the peg move forward in an arc as the floorboard drops?:dontknow:

At first glance I thought these were OK until I looked at the set Lamonster sells. Take a look at the install video and you'll see a potential brake issue.

Thanks, I saw that but I don't think there is the same issue on our RT since we only have pegs and not floor boards.
My concern with the spyderaccessories set up was whether or not there would be enough clearance between the peg and the brake pedal. The owner assures me there is. At this point I'm leaning toward Lamonster simply because they look better and afford more flexibility in positioning.

You're right. Check the install video at lamonster for the FBB type and he addresses that exact problem.
