We have had some requests for 1330 decals so here is our first creation. "1330 Triple" Large frunk decals. These have a 3D metal effect look to them.

Should we offer these or trash them?

Pretty nifty looking, I say. But, IMO, they are about twice as large as they ought to be. Since the 1330 is a regular production engine I don't think it deserves quite that much of a splash. Now, if there was a limited edition 1330 Turbo, THAT would deserve a splashy decal!

I agree with WasWinger that they are too large. I'm not a a decal guy but what has been done looks like it will float some folks' boats.

Looks nice. I would like to see it actually on a machine so we could get a better feel for the size of the lettering in relation to the machine and not just to the frunk. Might change a few minds on the lettering size.

Thank you for the feedback. Actually we have created quite a few different sizes and combinations of this text knowing not everyone would like the large size text.
So, take a look at these and let us know what you like. Keep in mind you can cut the elements apart and put them on however you like and wherever you like.
For colors right now this style is all we have created but we may be able to edit the gold tone to another color in the future. Right now we just wanted to see if this is
something that is desirable to owners.

The Gold tone is outlined with a metal effect and a thin Black outline so I don't think it would get lost.

So your image is sealed between the vinyl and the laminate making it a sub surface image. Yes, easy to apply just peel and stick. Yes, to remove heat and pull.

this is a timely post, i just got an all white 1330 and was thinking of putting something on there cause its just really kind of bland right now. I am concerned a bit about getting them to line up right especially if they are individual pieces. Im a little "Monk" and if they are not perfectly straight it will bother me forever LOL, im sure once they go on they are not coming off? when you heat and remove is there residue left that is hard to get off?

That's a good question.. No matter the design your choose they already come pre-spaced and ready to apply as one image so proper alignment is only a concern from side to side. (see illustration below) We always recommend you tape both designs into position and do all your measuring first. Then, when you have them in position so you can sleep at night ;) mount them up.. You can expect to get more than 5-7 years of life out of them but I would assume most people would be changing up the look before then. Keep in mind, like all of our digital graphic products these have an air-release adhesive so not air bubbles or wrinkles. This is a dry install too so no water needed. For removal, you will warm the film and pull it off. It will remove leaving little to no adhesive but if it does a simple wipe with Goo Gone and you are back to new.

I was wondering if you could have the numbers clear (outlined in either a thin black or thin white) and this way the color if the Spyder shows through. The black outline would be for lighter colored spyders and white for darker colors. This way you get all the colors! Anyway. Just an idea.

I had concerns with the matte finish on my 14RTL. Pete set me up with a set of small straight and rally frunk inserts all with a matte finish. I couldn't be happier!

At this time the straight ones have been the most popular. I do have a set of the "pistons bottom" going "Down Under" (AUS) but I assume those photos will take a while before we get them.
So far everyone has been doing pretty good about posting photos. We really appreciate that..

We can also offer you a "cut out" which allows the color of your machine to show through the text although, we may not be able to offer small size. We have to do some testing. Yea, I am a bit afraid that the small cut out size would be a bit to delicate and I don't want anyone to have any issues with them.

Since Honda is OK with a left and right version of their wing logo I see no reason why you shouldn't make a left and right version of your unofficial aftermarket decal.

I placed order for the "1330 Triple Orange Tone Cut out Text" Size: 1.5X 10 Straight Med. This is for a 2014RTS-SE6 Cognac.

Now waiting for them in the mail. It is Christmas all over again! Thanks Pete.

Yea.. the cut out is good because it allows the color of your bike to show through the decal so you do have to be concerned about trying to match the color.

In the photo, is it me or are the letters at two different angles? The 1330 looks more vertical.

I am not into it on the frunk lid, just has too much of that outboard motor look.

:agree: I wouldn't be into this decal either. Besides the "outboard motor look", I'd feel silly with that on my Spyder in a couple of years when they come out with a 1500 V Quad. ;)

In truth, Biran Kay's decal (http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?88420-1330-Triple-Frunk-decals&p=1077714&viewfull=1#post1077714) on his Pearl White RT on the previous page does look pretty cool. That's the color for his bike, in the right right size, in just the right position, IMHO. :thumbup:

Decals arrived 4/14/16 and installed this afternoon. Thank you for the feedback. Actually we have created quite a few different sizes and combinations of this text knowing not everyone would like the large size text.
So, take a look at these and let us know what you like. Keep in mind you can cut the elements apart and put them on however you like and wherever you like.
For colors right now this style is all we have created but we may be able to edit the gold tone to another color in the future. Right now we just wanted to see if this is
something that is desirable to owners.
