Now that's the one I want!:yikes:

The downsides I see for the Motor officer riding one of these is: The inability to 'lane split,' while in pursuit, Terrible and limited ground clearance on anything but flat pavement, (Look at the panic stop and how close the lower cowl was to the pavement) and the use under certain weather conditions and road surfaces that BRP specifically lists as a big NO-NO in their owners manuals.

Can you imagine what the cost is????

If the police care about the officers safety why is he wearing short sleeves & no gloves?

Criminal jumps into car and takes off... cop jumps on Spyder, and waits for it to boot up. *facepalm*

F3's have an instant start feature. Turn on the key, hit the mode switch and start.

I believe that's been eliminated in the police model. Haven't seen them around my way.

Video sez "a special quick start feature means an officer just turns the key and goes"... may be some other 'law' features in this ryde

Only here and on the web. Look sharp and would be used for limited service. Know it is heavely modified for police use...

The motorcycle police in my area (county and city) all wear short sleeve shirts but most have gloves.

I haven't seen a police Spyder around here, yet, but with the growing number of Spyders in our area I wouldn't be surprised if they have them soon. I'd think they'd use them primarily for in-town matters and the two wheelers would stay on the highway.

I do not see them being used here. Season to short to be practical. The local police tried a police BMW bike about 7 years ago. I believe they used it for one season. Primary job, hide and issue traffic citations. Cost wise, I am guessing more than a usual police cruiser. Here they use Ford, Chevy, and Dodge Charger--depending on which town force.

There were a couple of Police Spyders on duty when we had the owners event in Chicago, maybe someone has a picture or two of them. I don't remember if they were RS's or RTS's.

I have seen a video somewhere that showed 2 spyders in Louisiana State Police colors. I believe anywhere there are police motorcycles, there will soon be spyders. The only disadvantage I see is the ability to lane split.

Watch how low the bike nose drops under heavy breaking...

This is what happens when you have weak springs on the front end. If there was a bump or dip in the road, the nose gets scratched.

So go check your nose for scratches...
