This could be fun. Our days are numbered here for riding in New England but, let's see who is the last man or woman out riding this season. The first snowstorm will be the finish line. :D

Warmed up a bit so I got in a lunch ride today. Pics if you got em' ;)

I am not riding until spring because my spyder is in for it's winter's nap.( put it up on Oct. 15th) it is hooked up on a battery tender. Winters are rough/ and tough in Vermont also.

Also, I am having some down time( getting caught up on other things, and thinking of what trips I want to take next year.) I am ok. It is raining/ temp is 43 degrees. You don't know what the weather is going to be like at this time of the year.

Plus the holidays are right around the corner, spending time with family friends, still working, and etc. Deanna

Lol.. Spyd3r, f3-s. Winters are tough here in NH, but when I can't ride my Spyder , I can usually jump on my Polaris snowmobile and go riding from the house onto great trails. Still have lots of years left in me for that, but I do get it about living in warm climates.... Some day I will ... travel safely my friend.

A reprieve of sorts from the frozen North.

We went from a cold snap (0 degrees and a bit colder) to a warming trend. 40's and 50's for the last 4 days or so. Going to remain in the mid 30's for the next week or snow.

The snow has mostly melted--but rural roads like mine--are ice covered. Same mode as early spring. Two and a half blocks away are drivable roads--glare ice preventing me from getting to them. :yikes:

I have something new waiting for me from BRP in a crate at my dealer! More to come, so stay tunned!

Well, I decided to finally put the RT to rest for the winter. Yesterday I washed and polished both the Spyder and the RT622 trailer. Today I rearranged the garage to store them both in there place. It's lightly snowing outside as I write this message, so I think it was time to park the Spyder. For me, the snowmobiling season is just around the corner. I have that to enjoy in the winter, so I don't ever get bored.

Either way, I need to stop at Mohawk and check them out. There is a nice back road ride, and we can also stop at the deli on rt 7 on the way. Was 25 degrees this morning when we rolled out for a toy run in the next county over. dropped the toys off, and headed for a Veterans Gold Star Family Memorial dedication and unveiling in Fairmont WV. A Medal of Honor recipient Marine that fought on Iwo Jima was the key speaker. it was a somber experience. For those who do not know what a Gold Star Family is, they are the families of fallen military. Anywho, at 25 degrees and 55 mph the heated hand grips front and rear sure came in handy for us. never even got chilled.

No... I would have been this past weekend, but I had my gallbladder removed Friday, and I'm still a bit tender from the surgery!! I never thought scheduling surgery for December 4th would impact my riding schedule. :sour:

My fiance changed my rear tire yesterday and was nice enough to take it out for a spin to check it today though... It's running great he tells me. ;)

ANY ride this time of year is sweet!:ohyea::yes:
Last year; I was shut down in Mid-November.I agree. Some might even say that demonstrates that there are indeed certain benefits to global warming. ;)

After spending the past 3 months in Texas and Mississippi, missing my Spyder in those warm states, I got to take it out of winter storage today. (That consisted of simply unconnecting the Battery Tender and checking the tire pressures with the Fobo app on my cell phone). I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.

A riding partner of ours now has over 14000 miles on the Kenda, she has an RS. Don't get me wrong, it is junk and needs to be replaced. But she never thought they would still be riding this time of year. Hers is a lot more worn out than the you show in this picture.

Nice looking Kumho! I remember when my Kumho looked like that! It is just about junk now also. It only has 12,400 miles on it, I will probably squeeze another 2 or 3 thousand miles out of it.

Not much to do in this very small coastal town but the views are well worth the ride. Temp stayed around 60 but it sure got cool on the way home when the sun went down. Ones has to love heated gear I say.

Just got back from my xmas day ride, wife did not go so I took the bike. Filled it up with non-ethanol for it's hibernation. Perhaps tomorrow for the Spyder as I need to go to town. Merry Christmas everyone.

I got back about an hour ago, and had the most interesting meeting... :D

I stopped to re-fuel in Wurtsboro, and ran into my first encounter with full-patch Hell's Angels Riders.
We wished each other a "Merry Christmas", and talked about the riding a little bit...
We don't normally see them up around here, and I'm glad that I had a chance to meet them. They were.... pleasant!

Just got back from my long circuit.

North on 23 to Port Jervis then East on US 6 to 17A then South through Sterling Forest and Tuxedo. Ended by coming back through Ringwood.

Saw quite a few bikes and two Spyders; a yellow RS and a red RT.

They are talking a mix of snow and rain next week.

Even tho it was a short ride it was nice getting out on the spyder again. :thumbup:Started right up.. Of coarse the battery tender was plugged in..

Was able to get a couple hours of riding in. Looking at the long range forecast, today could be it. Although we said that a month ago too!

Was able to get a few really neat pictures of downtown Rochester almost empty and all lit up. It was pretty cool.

I rode yesterday. I was going stir crazy not being able to get on my :spyder2: since it had rained for almost a week. Today the forecast has us in a Winter Weather Advisory  Whatever the weather brings, as long as the road isn't slippery, I'll be riding. Weather's a little less sure down here in Northern NJ; mostly rain but may be some sleet or freezing rain.

If so, that's probably it for me as well. But if not, I'll go out for a little bit on New Years Day, just to be able to say I did.

We had a warm day last weekend and went out for about 45 miles. Today another low to mid 60 day rode down to Maryland to Woody's for some seafood for lunch. Chilly start and a bit windy but a great ride overall. 160 miles today, tons of motorcycles on the road. You had to really watch out if you were on a 2 wheeler lots of gravel on the roads from last weeks heavy rain.

This turned out to be a good year to sell our Ski-doo's and I really didn't miss them that much. First time I am without a sled in about 25 years.
