I know that I am not the only person that has no electricity where I store my Spyder, so I wanted to share what I found. The solar panel is from ZampSolar and is for my new solar batter maintainer. It took me about 20 minutes to get it all set up. Just like the "Battery Tender" that most of us use on our motorsports equipment, this unit also has a controller to monitor the battery and turns on and off as the battery needs charging.

It's only day-1 but it looks like it keeps charging even in low light.

:congrats: on finding the right setup for your needs!

EDIT: After looking through their website; I couldn't figure out if the Solar Controller could be hooked-up to multiple panels...
(My garage would definitely need to have panels hooked up to both the Eastern and Southern sides...)

I bought the 20 watt panel (the 10 watt was on back order -- but the sales guy said the 10 watt is more than enough for a bike), a controller, mounting feet, and the connecting cables.

I have a Gerbing heated clothing connector that is easy-access so I made a connecting cord that goes from the controller's connector to the Gerbing connector.

Several years ago when I was flying an Ultralight with an 80hp motor, it was kept in a hanger without elect. I was having a very slow battery drain but could never find it. I picked up a small solar panel about 6 X 12 inches, mounted it on the roof in a box with plexiglass top to keep it waterproof and dropped a long cord down to my plane. I put a plug on both like those used for Gerbing products and that panel maintained my battery for a couple of years. It wasn't rated at any sort of wattage but something very low. At any rate it did the job. I would think the amount of sunshine available had a lot to do with it too.

I'll dig around my shed and see if I still have that panel and if so will make it avail for the cost of shipping to someone who lives in a sunny climate.
that can make use of it

e has lot to do with it too.

Solar panels doesn't do us much good in the Pacific Northwest. In fact, the best sun screen item you can get is......move to Seattle.
