Is there a weight limit for the RT or any other CanAm?

The RS originally had a 440 pound load limit, and the original RTs could supposedly carry "only" 525 pounds...

Would that have to be a combination of what's on board the RT + towed weight?

Good Question.

The posted limit says passenger and gear. Guessing (but not sure) it does not include towed items.

From reading pg. 97-101 of my operator's guide I would include 18 lb. of tongue weight in the 494 lb. max weight of the Spyder and for the towed weight would not exceed the 400 lb. limit. I'll bet some folks have exceeded both but it's their hides. YMMV.

You don't add towed weight, but rather tongue weight to the gross Spyder weight, along with passengers, farkles, and gear carried on it.

What did I get wrong?
