Anyone ever had their Spyder Dyno-tuned? I know someone that got their Victory done and they say they have more HP, torque, and get better gas mileage. I called them and the do Spyders.

You'll have to trick the wheelspeed sensors...
Please let us know how much of a difference it makes.

I had my Victory Vision dynoed, but I also had installed a Power Commander. Yes, it ran much better. Between the dyno and the adjustable timing wheel and a few other mods, it ran like a scolded cat. I asked about doing something similar on the Spyder, and the salesguy told me that the ECM on the Spyder does not like being messed with. However, if you pull it off, I'd love to hear about it.

I have wondered about dyno tuning a spyder, but I don't see it being possible at most places. All the motorcycle dynos that I know of are located in booths, and would not fit a spyder. I thought about a car dyno, but I would think that those would be too large. It would be nice to see one.

Do you want to actually tune or just run it on the dyno? There aren't many shops that actually know how or have the resources to properly tune it. <<<<read this as like 3 in the entire world that can do a proper tune....

Does BRP run Dyno to get engine specs or do they just run the engine on a test stand then install?

Sempert out,
The v990 has been around so long the specs are probably carved onto stone tablets sitting against the back wall of the Rotax plant....[emoji38]

Seriously, I'd bet its all calculations and stands for the specs. Most manufacturers are like that nowadays.
