I have a 2012 RTS and am wondering if any plastic panels have to be removed to install Pitbull shock relocators ?

It really makes it a whole lot easier, if the frunk is removed...

You do not on the RS and believe you don't on the RT but it sure makes it a lot easier. I installed them shortly after I did the BajaRon swaybar and they sure made a difference...if you take your time and follow the instructions it is a relativly easy job...

Watched the guys at pitbull install On my RTS last October they did not take off the frunk
What do the shock relocators do for the bike? I'm in the process ordering the sway bar and links from Bajaron and have found a place to do the laser alignment but haven't run across anything about shock relocation on the Spyder. Thanks.

I believe They are only needed on model year 2010-2012 RTs

What the re-locators do for the pre-2013 bikes, is literally stand the shocks more upright...
It makes the movement of the wheels act more directly upon the suspension system; I think that it essentially stiffens the front-end of the bike up a little bit...
The new angle that the shocks are mounted at, is the same angle as on the 2013 and later bikes...

We sell an easy to install stiffener that fits between the coils to help make the suspension better. They work well and are pretty inexpensive. Lifetime warranty.
