Thanks From A New Spyder Owner
Well all:
I ve been waiting a long time to write this post.
At a classic car cruise night where I usually show up with my old ride last june I saw my first spyder! Wow! May be love at first Bite or Byte.
This is from a guy whose last two wheel excursion was on a Schwinn. Way back in the day there was a new 68 Bonneville but that was many moons ago. Anyway from that day on I sort of became very driven ..no pun intended to get one. First came the trial by fire at the local DMV office, written test and then followed up by a MSF 3 day course for newbie s like me!

Then there was the motorcycle endorsement and then soon after a open street ride with the BRP factory guys who were great. All thru this I ve been logging on almost religiously (Daily) to absorb all i could from you folks.
It s strange but although I have not posted that much but have become a sponge soaking all of your varied expertise up I finally took the plunge and wanted to share it with all of you..:yes::yes::yes:
I just took delivery of a :

2009 Red SE5, with 12v. Hindle, Fogs, and the BRP backrest/rear carrier as well as the three yr BEST warrenty.

I put just 2 hrs on it before I was forced to store due to the 15 degree temperatures and heavy snow but i do visit it every day, get on it and make motorcycle sounds.

That will have to do for now, but I would like to thank u all and especially Scotty and Lamonster for giving me the info to get my dream .

:2thumbs: Thank You All.

Congratulations! When my wife first saw the Spyder and expressed an interest, I poured over the forums and Web pages, too, to try to learn about them. It all convinced me that it would be a good ride. I'll tell you right now, I seriously underestimated it. It's a great ride! Welcome to the world of Spyder owners, and be patient, the weather will change...Al Gore says it's going to warm up. :D

So what's your old ride, Northramp? I have a mild custom '53 F-100 and my wife has a '63 Falcon ragtop. We do the classic car cruises almost every week in season, but I usually ride a vintage bike. My wife has taken her Spyder mostly this year.

Scotty:

There are two polar opposites in my rides:

1967 Shelby GT350 Factory Paxton AKA:The Other Woman

1973 Land Rover Series III RHD AKA: Grommet

Sounds like u r a blue oval head too:2thumbs:

Have not named the spyder yet .
