Was checking the clutch fluid in the wife's STS. I noticed a switch under the leaver. It does not make ether in or out on the leaver. What is this for?

Do you mean the dial with numbers on it?

it indicates to the nanny that the clutch is disendaged. You can start in any gear if the clutch is pulled the switch allows this.

Thanks! I guess I need to get it to make when the clutch lever is pulled in. Right?

Have not looked at the switch but should be a simple on off contact switch. A continuity tester would be good but if you can start in gear with clutch in its good.

Somehow the metal strip that trips the switch got hung behind the switch. Re-positioned and everything is fine. Thanks all!

My wifes sts her's has the same switch and she found that if the parking break is on when she releases the clutch while in gear the motor shuts off. Guess it's a safty thing
