I put a $500 hold on a 2015 Spyder F3S w/ Escape Touring package. Dealer told me i'd have to put up full payment and sign deal BEFORE Sept 18th. Obviously they want me to commit before the 2016 models are announced. My question is, should I wait in the hopes the 2015 will be a bit cheaper or incentive program is announced for the 2015's? I can't image a 2015 F3S w/ touring pkg would be the same price as a 2016. Opinions anyone?

 That sounds as if they're trying to get the noose around your neck, before you have a chance to explore all of your options.
IMHO; I'd walk away from them... But that's just me!

You have 9 days to look around the east coast for a better deal. I'd be prepared to walk, losing the $500 or not. If you lose it consider yourself lucky to not get screwed worse. Education is never free.

The dealer is helping you like a bull helps a cow.

The main F3S has already been announced and introduced at Sturgis for 2016, however I never trust anyone that is trying to pressure me into a date deadline.... Even if you can't do better on price I am pretty sure you can do better in quality of dealer

I'd find another dealer.

Red Flags are flying. I would not let the dealer suck me in on that one. If you change your mind, hoping you can get the $500 back.

This down payment is the question. Thats a lot of money, to me anyway, but if he is a good dealer he would return it no questions not as good he would let you apply it to another or store credit. Bad one will keep it and loose you as a customer. Not anticipating much other than color and maybe a better windshield on the F3 but there may be wheeling and dealing to be had....:dontknow:

Did you get a receipt for the deposit? If so, does it say non-refundable on it? I had a car dealer sneak that onto my receipt once...didn't realize it until I went to get my deposit back because I realized they were trying to screw me over.

But doesn't say "DEPOSIT either. Just "Temporary MU" whatever that means. Don't even see a full VIN# on the receipt either now that I look. Since they quoted me $22,000 for the F3S SE6 in black and only 10% off on every Touring Escape Pkg part I ordered, I've decided to wait till the 18th anyway. What are they going to do, tell me the price for 2015 went "UP" soon as the 16's were announced?

I have never seen MU before. Can't even figure out what it might mean. Glad you've got a plan for what you want to do. Good luck!!!

im with the crowd, dealer is trying to hose you. Dealers are horrible. Its like they spend zero time on customer service training and about 6 months of training on how to screw the customer and get maximum dollar for every bike and every service and part instead of a fair profit margin. Im sure there are a few exceptions but not many. I have seen very good posts about that imotorsports on the forum, bet they will match or beat whatever deal you had and ship it to you free. The biggest reason people get screwed on car (or spyder/motorcycle) deals is because they want it so bad they are unwilling to walk away, that and they just dont know they can bargain. If a dealer knows you want it that bad they are going to put the screws to you. Wish it wasnt so but it is.
