The wife and I participated in the Connecticut United 9/11 Memorial Ride today. Great ride through small towns in CT, with people lining the roads waving flags, every town we rode through either had their ladder fire trucks out hanging huge Flags, or cranes doing the same. The ride started at 11:30 am. By 8:30 am there were more than 500 bikes registered for the ride. The estimate I heard at the end of the ride was over 4,000 bikes of every kind you can think of. It was the best organized ride we have ever been on. Police officers (from all over the state) at EVERY intersection along the appx. 65 mile route to hold traffic until all bikes got through. Ended up at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, CT, right on Long Island Sound. The cool breeze off of the water was a welcome relief. Talked to several other Spyder riders, and had a great time. Already looking forward to next year!:thumbup:

My wife and I were there also, I'm sorry we didn't see you, we would have loved to hook up with you. Next year! We arrived a little late and ended up towards the rear of the pack and yes, there were thousands of bikes. We have been going since 2011 and we really feel like rock stars going through all the towns where there are tens of thousands of spectators clapping, waving flags, waving, taking movies and pictures, people young and old. I got goose bumps every time we road through a town where the local fire department had the sirens blaring on the trucks and the flags hanging. It's a wonderful tribute to 911 that raises a lot of money for various causes.

Thanks for the Pics, my wife was complaining that she left her phone at home, and I didn't want to stop to get mine out of the rear cargo carrier. She can't work my phone anyway lol.
