I have a Master in Software Engineering so I looked this up. I imaging these are national averages, so I would only see this as a general guide. Where you live and experience are also important factors. Also, where you go to school matters more for Lawyers and MBA types than for Engineers.

I traded in my MBA (with no emphasis on strategy) when I semi retired for an AAS (Physical Therapist Asst), and never looked back. Sometimes it's more than money, and I'll leave it at that.
