I want this, but I'm going to wait until my first oil change so I can order all the stuff from you at once.

Fine it's a K & N cylinder, but just slightly larger than stock one. I added a foam gasket and some sealant..........The new one is just like the OEM size only BETTER.......Mike

When I said ..BETTER....... I was referring to the K&N filter that you have that is an EXACT FIT for the OEM one.........It's BETTER because you don't have to make any modifications to it to get it fit ....like I did for mine to work............I think the engine breathes a little better, I have a 39 cu ft per min. fan that pushes Air into it.......and I just bought " Ulflyers " Cat Delete pipe so we shall see ???

FORCED AIR..........................Turbo- ?........:dontknow:.........Mike .................and I realize that forced air before the filter isn't going to do all that much...but it isn't hurting it either...........I have a project for this winter I'm going to try....another smaller fan in the tube just ahead of the throttlebody..........that I think this may have a noticeable effect.....

Ron

The K&N air filter for my Spyder RT SE6 2015 has arrived safely at my address in the UK
Excellent product and service as always from you
Many thanks

P.S The filter even with the postage to the UK was cheaper than buying from a local dealer or even from K&N UK Direct

I bought mine before Ron had them and found they don't fit like the stock filter does in the box. You have to use the cover to hold the filter in place then put the screws in..

Going for a ride today and see what happens on the new K&N..I don't expect any noticeable difference..

What holds the OEM filter in there ? ? ?...................I believe it's also the cap !!!!!...............And the only difference you will notice is the fact that you will never have to buy another one.....:lecturef_smilie:........Mike

Yes and no..When you push in the stock filter it seats into the opening..The K&N does not it flops around..Yes they both need the Cap to hold in place..And that is correct I hope never to buy another air filter again for the spyder and if I do I will put the stock back on as it looked like brand new..

I believe the difference is in the weight. The K&N is a heavier material and construction so it doesn't stay put with the friction fit like the OEM filter. Of course one you get the cover on it stays put just fine.

They come ready to use and they last a long time with the original charge. But eventually they will need to be cleaned and recharged with either the K&N oil or similar.
