I just received a mailer from BRP today on the 2015 Freedom trailers. Can someone please explain why a Black Freedom Trailer is $2999.99 and either a silver platinum satin/black or intense pearl red/black are $1200.00 more? I know the later two are two tune trailers but $1200.00 more. Just doesn't make sense to pay $1200.00 more for a two tune for the exact same trailer. Maybe my head isn't screwed on right.

I wondered the same thing. The only difference that I could find in the catalog was the two tone paint, carpeted liner, and a chrome trim package.

Probably of the same reason HDs are about one grand more for two tones :)

All kidding aside, agree if they are painted. It makes no sense. If they are infused with the color while molding (i.e Saturns) then I can sort of see it.

One thing the marketing people don't talk about much is the concept of "what the market will bear."

Along with that, is what are comparable items selling for?

This all happens after the cost accountants have all the costs, the overhead, and the profit margin built in. If they can tack on another $500 or so...that is what will happen.

They are the basic stripped down starter trailer. No frills period. They are only making the no frills in black. $2199

The $4199 trailers come in all the colors they are producing with all the frills, bells and whistles. (chrome trim and carpet)

That's a lot of frills, bells and whistles for $1200.00:yikes:

I just received an email from Central Florida Powersports offering $3000.00 discount on any RT plus a Freedom trailer or if you don't want the trailer a free exhaust, free hitch and free backrest. They state 50 in stock. That is the biggest and earliest discount I have ever seen.

It makes me wonder if I could work a trade with my 2014 Limited, for a 2015 Limited and a Trailer... :D :2thumbs:

Sounds like a deal to me. Ride Now (36+ dealerships) are not selling the Freedom trailers like they did the RT-622. They cheeped them up compared to the RT-622 in both lids, liners, chrome trim and the rear design changed to not look as if it matches the RT. I personally would rather have a used RT-622 than a new Freedom trailer.

I'll stick with my $380 Harbor Freight trailer. I extended the back rails to accommodate a 10 X 10 canopy. Also replaced the lights with LEDs for $38. Simple, inexpensive and practical. Adding LED strips to back of trailer for more visibility. (And it's fun):2thumbs:
