Is there a way to disable that stupid safety message that comes up when you turn the ignition key so you can just start the darn engine without pressing that button? Somebody help all of us!

Not to my knowledge. Just let it be your little secret, and bask in the light that a thief won't make a quick getaway. :) If you aren't already using the mode button on the handlebar, it is quicker and easier. As soon as the message starts scrolling, hit the handlebar mode button, and you are in business. You'll get used to it.
