Has anyone tried the hmf exhaust? If so how does it sound?

I dont have the HMF but I have heard Spyders with the HMF installed. I like the sound and the price is pretty good also. I am just about to pull the trigger on one.

I have one on my 13 rs.
Sounds nice. But i still have the cat.
Remove the cat and breaths easier but louder.

Good bang for the buck. love mine

Do you have to put a programmer on the spyder or will the pipe work without it?

I put a HMF on my wife's old RS and she loved the sound. Me, not so much. Too loud when I was travelling behind her on my bike.

Without the fuel controller it popped little when it warmed up, with the controller it just pops a little less. We ended up taking the fuel controller off and it ran perfectly fine.

I just put one on my '12 RS-S .. had the RLS exhaust before which was obnoxiously loud lol, and the HMF is a happy medium. Loud enough to demand attention but still not too loud to distract from the riding experience imo. Great prices on used units all the time on ebay

We have RLS exhausts on our Spyders now but originally had HMF's on them. They sound sweet IMO. We kept the HMF's cause though we really like our RLS's the HMF's sound too good to get rid of.

I just installed a HMF and a K&N Filter on my 2012 RS SE5, it's now a COMPLETELY different bike... Amazing sound, throttle response and no programmer needed. Highly recommended!!!

Tried many pipes on my 08 GS.. and the HMF was my favorite. Good pricing, great sound.
