Not to be raining on your Parade ... but I only recall the mention of "May", as the release date; no mention of May 15h. Did I miss something? :dontknow:

Wasn't me, but as soon as we're ready to make the announcement we'll let everyone know immediately. Including Ruby Rhod.

:agree: on the above. On this issue, if you are not hearing it from Steve at BRPCare, I would take the information with a grain of salt.

I don't think they are going to let the pressure of a specific day drive the issue. I still predict no later than May 31. I do foresee issues if they miss a May announcement.

Yep, everything I am seeing and hearing through the service channels says "May 2015" with no specific date, and that it ONLY applies to 2013 RT models, no other years, no other models, and that it is a "Safety Recall".

BRP is careful to not let the cat out of the bag before the parts are available and ready to ship, as they do not want to create undue demand before it can be fulfilled. With this being an on-road vehicle and having the NHTSB involved it is a more complicated matter than with ATVs and snowmobiles, so we are all going to have to wait until they can pull the trigger. Chill out?

You will never satisfy everyone
If the fix does take care of the heat and fire problem there will still be people mad they did not get a new 1330 engine put in their 2013 bike
People always want more

Thanks BRPcare for quickly jumping in on this thread and clarifying things... Not exactly holding my breathe but hope we 2013 RT owners hear something sooner rather than later.

Being an owner of a 2013, it's not a matter of wanting more. It's a matter of wanting a vehicle that we spent IMHO a lot of money on to be trustworthy and solid. I don't want to have a fear of something going wrong when we are traveling across the US. I would love to pull into the garage and not have to let the spyder sit outside until the gas vapors dissipate. We are only in May and believe it or not in April, I rolled into the driveway with boiling gas. First time I could hear it and honestly a little unsettling and the temps were only in the 80s. So, we are just hoping that whatever BRP comes up with it will be effective and correct these issues so my wife and I can get back to what's important and that is spending our quality time vacationing on our spyder. Yes like others, my frustration level is high, along with my nervousness as to whether or not we will have the recall completed prior to our June northern tier vacation, so I keep watching the blog several times a day hoping for the BRP announcement.
