Last week I was flagged down on the highway because my side pod was open. Funny that there is a warning on the dash if trunk is open but nit the side pod!! Well, my brand new Gerbings heated jacket liner was long gone. After much thought I decided to do something about it. I purchase the things in the photo. Not sure what the "thingies" are but they worked pretty good. I had the bungies, 10 bolts, 10 locknuts, 10 metal washers and 10 rubber washers.

I had to emote the back bodywork above the tail lights as well as the bottom black plastic piece as well as the lower side panels in front of pods.
I marked the drill hole locations.

I then attached the "thingies" with the button head on the inside and the rubber washer, metal washer and lock not on the outside.

Then I added small bungies that will prevent large items from falling out!
