Well, tomorrow morning I will be getting on the road for the trip to SpyderFest 2015. I am very excited, as this will be the first long trip on the F3. Picked up some cheap saddle bags for the trip as we all know BRP does not have them in stock yet so I had to improvise. I will be posting a link to Glympse tomorrow when I head out so the ones that want to follow along can do so. This is the route that I will be taking.

Not sure where I will end up for the first night but should be along this path somewhere. I will keep everyone posted as to how the trip goes. Keep an eye out here as well as at http://wireduxphotos.com/photo/#!Albums as I will be posting pictures along the way.

Wow! That looks like a nice road trip. And you will be passing right by Raleigh on the way. I sure wish I had the time off work to tag along with you. How many days do you plan on making the trip in? Where will you be doing overnight layovers? Just curious. I have a thing with needing to stop about every 100 miles or so to keep my legs and butt from falling asleep. LOL! Have a nice and safe trip. Hope to meet you in eastern N.C. someday.

Just 300 miles for me. I'm going a different way this time. I'll zig-zag to the southeast and see some back roads of Kansas.

Well I have arrived in Kentucky for the night. 744 miles today. I would have kept going but I did not get that much sleep last night. So to play it safe I grabbed some food and a hotel. I'll be headed out around 3 am to finish the trip around 8 am. This is the first long trip I have had the F3 on. Let me say the only thing I miss about the RT is the storage. Once the saddle bags come in that will be solved for the most part. Not having to lift the seat to put fuel in...... Well I won't say much about that except I am glad I can do that on the F3 (never did like that on the other spyders). Today was all sunshine. The only rain was after I checked in the hotel.

Dan,
How does the F-3 compare to the RT regarding comfort; particularly on a long day in the saddle? :dontknow:
