Just purcahsed my first Spyder. Won't have i for a couple of weeks, but wanted to ask, does anyone know if there is any third party rear hard saddle bags? I was looking at the OEM ones and it looks quite expensive since you need to purchase the passenger seat

you only need the backrest if you purchase the "top case". The rigid saddle bag kit is still pricey but is well needed if you plan on doing overnight trips. We rode in heavy rain one day and NO water penetrated the bags.

I am sure there are other options out there but I had not looked as they were included with my ST Limited.

Givi, corbin and a few others. Shop around here, sponsors and for sale as well as ebay, amazon etc.

Corbin is expensive but one side can hold as much as both Givi bags. Single color $1800. 2 tone $2200

just to clarify, the original seat stays the same when adding givi hardbags (panniers/saddlebags) and racks. If you want the topbox too you need something extra, but again original seat is fine.

You can keep the stock seat and still have the Corbin bags. The Smuggler trunk requires the Corbin seat.
