Personally, I prefer to take back roads everywhere! However, on the few occasions that I was forced by route selection to get on the Interstate, my 2014 RT was comfortably able to stay with traffic at sustained speeds 75-80.

sway bar and laser front end alignment really helps out with those cross blowing winds at that speed and when passing an 18 wheeler. make sure your tires are running the same pressures on the front end as well.

we ran 85 several times this weekend and zero problems

what model..?? The new triple is your best bet but they all do great at any speed. I have cruised along at over 90 on long back stretches with no problems..

14 & 15 in the S or Ltd model come with floorboards that are as good as any on the after market and you also get fog lights, auto air ride, heated grips, Cruise Control etc.

I love my 2012 RT LTD! And it love to run at higher speeds! Here in Denver Colorado our highways run at 75. And when I must them she roars! My first trike, curiser and I'm really loving it. Good luck with your choice.

My 14 RT SE6 handles very well at fwy speeds. We only have a 65mph limit in Oregon but have run mine at 80 on cruise several times on certain stretches and it handles very well. Would compare it to a small convertible.

I have run my 2014 rt above 70 several times. At first there was a slight belt vibration between 76&78 mph. At my first service, they adjusted the drive belt and now it is smooth at all speeds.

I have had my 2012 RT up to 105 a couple of times and the Beast runs smooth as silk. Of course my wife was not on it at the time.

Main highways here are 70 - 75.
No problem passing when required at 85-90.
Just purrrrrrs like a kitty :)

Everything they said and +1. In Utah we run 80 on the freeways which means 85 before the troopers pay any attention to you. I run that all day long with no problems.

With some riding experience; you can easily lose your license with an RT...

The power and smoothness is there when you call upon it.

I frequently cruise at 75 with no problems. Have had it up to 103 indicated on a deserted stretch of I-95 and it was rock solid.

:2thumbs:at any speed...however the law says only so fast so the cruise is a must for the long haul. RT versions are fantastic for that Fl to NY ride. :coffee: will make the ride good to. My '12 runs and runs and runs. Rode it 500 mile trips every week for 2 plus years and will keep on riding enjoy

Those 2012 RTs just keep on purrring. I ride mine hard sometimes and seems like it wants more.
