Noticing more helmet noise at 45+ mph, even a little movement. I have a HJC CL Max modular helmet. It didn't get much use with previous bike due to maintenance issues. The more I ride and venture into faster traffic, the more I'm noticing it. I prefer a modular or full face helmet with less noise. Which helmets are some of you wearing?

we have the HJC modular with a goodly amount of wind noise at high speed. Have music or communicate on the intercom and it helps. Will try a different modular next time around...

I recently got the Schuberth C3 Pro. It's very quiet compared to the Shoei Multitec that my passenger(s) now use.

Found I was getting a ringing in my ears with my old helmet on any ride over 3 hours so got a Shoei Air-GT and its been great. Bit too great at times when I've forgotten to charge from 4th to 5th after an overtake because I've not noticed the engine noise:-) I got it because its good for noise but also had a built in sun visor - we get a lot of problems with sun strike at this time of the year at morning commute time.
However recommend checking on this site as it does good reviews: http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-helmets/motorcycle-helmets.htm

The wife and I are riding with the GMax 54s helmets. We like them a lot. Mine has the GMax integrated LED brake light kit for when I am going solo.

My HJC IS-Max is also a noisy little bugger... :banghead:

...To the point where I'm almost ready to start helmet shopping! :gaah:

I researched helmets recently and liked the schuBerth as well but didn't want to pay so much. I also looked at the shoei neotec, the Nolan 104 and the hjc rpha max. They are all modulars. I have the scorpion modular and it was good but weighed 5 lbs. So after many reviews on each I went with the hjc. It weighs 3.6 pounds and had an "excellent" for noise rating and it came in pearl white. I'm very pleased with it. My husband bought the Nolan 104. Both are nice quality and lighter than modulars of the past. Plus all the convenience of the modulars.

My wife had an HJC and it was much noisier than the new Schuberth C3 Pro that she currently has. I have a Shoei Neotech that is much more quiet than both my old Nolans. All modulars.
We also use custom fit ear plugs and they make a huge difference but still can hear our helmet speakers fine.

I currently have a Shoei RF1100 and my wife has a Shoei Qwest. Both are very good helmets.

I have a Schuberth S2 but my 'go to' lid is a Lazer Monaco Pure Carbon
a modular flip front lid that is quiet comfy and light.

But I always wear earplugs! Motorcycling has already cost me 60% of my hearing above
2 KHz and I would prefer that the rest of you don't have this happen!

The wife and I both have the Nolan N 90's and we switched from the HCT's.

The only problem with Schuberth: the prices... http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=104830&stc=1
I may try a Nolan next.
