Im looking for a good comfortable pair of boots for riding and maybe some walking. I do suffer from Achilles Tendinitis at times, so comfort is a must!! I'm in TN and it gets hot and humid here. Any suggestions?

I like my BRP RT Touring boots...
They're comfortable for walking, easy to put on, and seem to be waterproof! :firstplace:

I picked up a pair of these and find them to be excellent quality for the price. Comfy , adjustable and waterproof and provide good support. The price is inexpensive relatively ( I will not say cheap the quality is far from cheap).

Danner Striker II 8" boots....lightweight, waterproof, breathable, comfortable. The downside is that they are not cheap.

You are going to find boot suggestions all over the place. Like seats, riding gear, and helmets. We all seem to have our preferences.

For basic riding, I still like the engineer style harness boots. I have one pair that's almost 20 years old with eagles on the harness trim. Had them resoled a couple seasons ago and expect that they are going to outlast me. They fit like the proverbial glove and I can put them on with one finger through the loop.

My rainy day boots are SIVI with the waterproof liner thingy. They zip up for ease of on/off.

A test fit is always better than trying to find the good stuff by mail order. A trip to a motorcycle accessory shop is worth it.

We like the TCX. Light, comfortable, waterproof, breathable gore-tex. purpose built for riding. Other boots do ok; these do it superbly.

i have these, and they are both comfortable and water-resistant.... the ZIPPER on the sides makes these just perfect....
i also have foot problems, a serious case of bunions, and these do not adversely effect my feet...

Well worth the price. I tried on some at Red Wing but needed a smaller size. Salesman claimed he placed an order and will call. So I wait.

If you are looking for boots that provide good protection and are moderately priced - check out Joe Rocket - had mine since 2004 - been in 2 two wheelers major accidents with feet getting no ill effects.

+1 for the TCX boots. I have the women's version and got them from Revzilla. I can use my custom orthotics in them, and they're great for walking around in.

Well worth the price.

Red Wing best boots out there, I have been wearing them for years and they last forever. I have been in some serious rain storms with them and my feet always stay dry.

I have a pair of HD boots if you look around you can find them pretty reasonable. and when a local dealership has a sale sometimes you can't beat the prices.

I bought a pair of red wing harness boots in 1978. They've been resoled several times. I polish them with scuff guard. I wear them while ryding. Went down once. Hard. No injuries to feet.

yes, they really are almost 40 years old.

I am still wearing my Hein Geirke jacket that I got in 1978. It is still like new and fits great.

Danner Striker II 8" boots....lightweight, waterproof, breathable, comfortable. The downside is that they are not cheap.Wow, I REALLY do like the looks of the Danner Striker Line (http://www.danner.com/product/law-enforcement/striker/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Search%20-%20Brand&utm_term=danner%20striker%20ii%20GTX). Lots of choices there, too. They're waterproof (Gortex lined), look really comfortable, and the inside soles look just right for gripping the Spyder brake pedal. The zipper option would make them easy and quick to take on and off - get them adjusted the way they are most comfortable and leave 'em tied. And they come in 2E for my wide feet! I've been reading all of these "boot threads" on Spyderlovers, trying to get some ideas for myself. Think I'll order a pair of these. Thanks.
