Do you have any recommendations for RV parks close to the activities? Any RV Parks as sponsors? Plan to stay a month or so.

Update, Coyote Powersports and myself first gave the Fairfield Inn the dates the first of March she has been putting it off just didn't want give the rate again this year. We are working to get a better deal.
Also the dealership has changed owners but they still want to but on the party. Just remember this a free party and chance to rider the Three Sisters, you are more than welcome to stay any where you like. The Thursday ride and the Saturday ride will start from the dealership and Friday evening party will be at the dealership and Saturday morning feed will be at the dealership also.
We will need 5 to 6 ride leaders and sweeps, last year there were 50 Spyders and it's looking like we will be over 100 this year. Remember this not a club event it's riders event with some free food we need your help.

There are many good roads around Kerrville/Fredericksburg. If you are going to be in the area for a month, you may want to move west a bit after the event is over to take advantage of some of the other local riding. Willow City Loop is a nice road, nicer during wildflower season. Luckenbach is interesting, the Bat Tunnel, etc.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. Now where is everybody planning on staying?

We are staying at the Fairfield Inn. It was very nice last year and right across the freeway from Coyote Power Sports. Very convenient. Was disappointed at the loss of the rate special but the other nice places in the area are just as high with low availability driving the prices up that weekend.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. Now where is everybody planning on staying?

Not sure yet, but either Take-It-Easy or By The River, RV parks both in Kerrville. Originally wanted Alamo Fiesta right across highway from Coyote Powersports, but they have rules against our cargo trailer staying on the site with the MoHo. It is the "garage" for our Spyders. We are lazy, so want it close. I can't see the difference between a small MoHo pulling an enclosed trailer and a large truck pulling a toy hauler, but .. Oh Well, it's their RV park. Since we are staying 2 months, Kerrville is closer to other things and has more to do than Boerne. Probably for the best.

Looks like Wifey and I will be in attendance Saturday morning at the dealership. We own property 21 miles away so, as new Spyder owners (1 Year), we have to check this out. Unfortunately we will be in a truck with a dog.

Our top priority is to find someone with a Spyder that has an Ultimate Tall Boy seat that will let us test sit on it. We don't want to ride, just want to see how we like the seat for 2 up riding before we would go and buy one. If you are attending, have your bike set up this way and don't mind us sitting on your Spyder, please let me know so we will know who to look/ask for.

Thanks,
Bill

I guess I'm a little confused about where to stay. What motel is the host motel or isn't there a host motel? What about the River Inn Resort, are they giving a discount rate? Does anybody know where everybody is staying or is it take your pick of hotels? I know some are stay at the Fairfield but their rates are kind of high. Could somebody clear this up.

Thanks

I called Fairfield today and they quoted $119 for Thursday and Friday and $219 for Saturday. I said what's up with that and she said they were almost sold out for Saturday. I remember sitting in the lobby there last year abc listening to them sell there last room at least five times.

I will be looking for a room elsewhere.

I have a reservation at Motel 6, but I'm going to call this week and book Comfort Inn & Suites at 35000 IH 10 West, Boerne, TX 78006. Their average rate for that time is $143, or $114 if you pay in advance non-refundable.

Looks good on the net. Fairfield Inn is asking $219 per night now for Friday and Sat. night and $169 for Thursday. No thanks. Days Inn has to be better than some of the "rat holes" I stayed in while flying for the Airlines.

Pricing around here tends to be based upon whatever is going on. When there are some high profile events going on most of the ones I have seen increase their prices.

Well, there are at least 8 of us here from Houston, we all met up for dinner last night at the Dog n Pony Grille. Great evening with friends. See everyone at Coyote Powersports this morning for the friday ride. GREAT weather this weekend. We are at the Fairfield (managed to book back when rates were reasonable.)

Thanks to Coyote Power Sports and Daryl & Linda Ingram for hosting a wonderful Spyders in the Hills rally. Rides and lunches were fantastic. Sorry we ate too much Friday at lunch and didn't attend the dinner at Coyote Power Sports Friday evening. Too full and too tired! ha. I hope everyone who did had a great time. Loved meeting everyone. Hope everyone makes it home safely. Thanks again.

I was a day late, but still did the ride! I couldn't make it yesterday, and I thought, what the heck! I'll do the ride today. I'll make it next year. So, that either makes me the last person in the marathon, or the first one for next year!

Elginspyder and I made it home fine 2 up...her spyder had some mechanical problems, and we left it at Coyote Powersports and Rocky will get the problems fixed. The crew there at Coyote are really great, I wound up buying new blade wheels, and both of us got new helmets, and got to meet some old friends and new friends, and had a good time.....and now we will have an excuse to head back down there to get her spyder when it is fixed....and of course we will try doing the three sisters again next year. ...it's all good.:ohyea::ohyea:
