I have taken quite a few gang classes over my career but none include the dreaded "Spyder :spyder2: Lovers" gang.
Guess I can't socialize with you "known gang members", now.....:roflblack::roflblack:

I rode with the Choir Boys (law enforcement only) motorcycle club for a few years and a gang investigator told my they were listed on the local gang list, too.

Amazing how stupid things can become when we don't use common sense while preforming our duties......

Official acronym: SORT-If
Rules to become a SORT-IF
1. Either own a BRP Spyder, attest you want one, or Ryde as a passenger on one.
2. Have completed the first "break in" service on the Spyder. If you do not own one describe the first "break-in" service.
3. Promise to keep your Spyder clean. If you do not own one, describe how to clean a Spyder's windshield.
4. Have installed at least one farkle on the Spyder.
5. Show loyalty by waving at other bikers and trykers.
6. Attend a gathering of trykers or bikers, such as Spyderfest, Spyders in the Redwoods, Las Vegas Bike Week, Sturgis etc.
7. Promise to attend local meetings and events.
8. Treat all SORT-IF brothers and systters with utmost respect.
9. Apply to be a member.
10. Assist new members of the SORT-IF tribe in every possible way.

The hubby (Tobor 9) and I were at a local Car, Truck and Bike Show at Bessingers BBQ a few years ago. We were both wearing our Patriot Guard Vests. A gentleman came over to admire the bikes and asked me if we were in a gang. I told him we used to be members of the Young Republicans but we got too old and kind of gave him an evil grin!:roflblack: We both started laughing and I answered his questions about the bike. Some people just have no clue!!!:dontknow:

Got this from the Tom McGrath’s Motorcycle Law Group Mailing List.

My email has been blowing up with a story that is circulating on the internet, purportedly from the Washington Post, claiming that all registered motorcyclists in the U.S. are on an FBI gang list. The story goes on to say that motorcyclists are 67% more likely to be involved in illegal activity.

This is not a Washington Post Story. I had my paralegal (who is an amazing cyber-sleuth) track it down. The story originated from a website called the National Report. This is a satirical website. It is a false story from a not so funny website.

Lest anyone think motorcyclists are being specifically targeted on this website, here are some other headlines from the National Report:

Well what isn't a spoof, is that if you have a foreign bank account and need to report it to the treasury dept. FBar is the form, you now send it to their criminal division. Thanks to this administration just having money outside the country makes you a criminal. OF course if you file the form correctly you are totally legal So far that doesn't put you on the "no fly list".:sour:
