Kevin (kevorama) and I have been members of MoGang since 2012, so this will be the 4th SpyderFest that we have helped organize and this will be better than ever!!!

For those of you who know me, I have a habit of rambling or talking in 1/2 thoughts, the bleach from turning my hair blonde has affected some of my brain cells. :roflblack: so sorry if I didn't finish all my thoughts below. SpyderLady Linda aka my Twysted Syster is not around to proof my post!!!

1. This year we have 4 Spyder Friendly Hotels. Lamplighter North, Best Western, Holiday Inn & Ramada Oasis. Also we have hosts at each of the hotels that will have some planned events at their hotel each night. Lamplighter is Flamingo Babe & Hot Glue (Mark & Charylene), Best Western Cruzr Joe & Sheila, Holiday Inn, Phil & Bobbie Burks, Ramada Oasis Tom & Corrina Dorcey. In the program book there will be a phone number that you can reach these individuals!!! There will be at least one MoGang Member staying at each of these hotels!!

2. Casino Night/Byke & Light Show/Movie Night at the Ramada Oasis. With paid registration each attendee will be given 3 poker chips, value $175 Spyder Bucks. You can turn them in on Thursday night and gamble at Casino night. At the end of casino night you can cash in your winnings and you will be issued a very special check that you will be allowed to bid on items at the auction on Saturday night.

3. Group rydes are back!! Thursday and Friday, rydes will leave the fairgrounds every 20 minutes. Thursday is the Eureka Springs Ryde and Friday is the Ozark Mountain Ryde. Your ryde leader will allow you to draw a card from a special deck of cards that you will cash in on Saturday afternoon (see details below)

4. Poker Runs (formerly known as passport runs). With paid registration you will be given a special book and a list of 20 (or so) businesses to ryde and visit. At each stop you will get your book stamped by the business. Also, if you attend a seminar your book will be stamped.

5. On Saturday between 4-6 bring your book to the designated area at Ozark Empire Fairgrounds and you will be allowed to draw a card for each stop or seminar attended.
Number cards 2-10 are worth $25 SpyderBucks
Face cards are worth $50 SpyderBucks
Aces' are worth $100 SpyderBucks
Jokers you will get an additional 3 draws

6. When cashing in your "Poker Run Book" you will also be cashing in your special SpyderFest Chips if you didn't use them casino night and if you received a card for going on a group ryde or any other reason we decide to let individuals draw cards. They will be converted to SpyderBucks and you will be issued a check for you to use at the auction.

7. The auction. We will be auctioning off items donated by vendors and Freedom Trailers and you can only spend your SpyderBucks on these items. (In the past years this is what we did for the individuals who turned in the passport books and we drew names, this year it will be an auction. (Full set of rules will be in the SpyderFest program book)

8. Back by popular demand "Spyder Games" on Wednesday night at the Fairgrounds with the bonfire. Brats & Hamburgers will be provided.

9. Crusin' Friday Nights. We will run up and down Glenstone, obeying all the traffic lights, from Pitbull to the Spyder Friendly hotels. This will be a great way to let the people of Springfield know that the Spyders have invaded. (If they hadn't guessed already) Then will be Len's secret Pie Run. No he hasn't told us where it is yet. Nor will he.

10. If we raise $500 in donations for Isabel's House Len has agreed to wear a pink shirt and pink bandana to lead the pie run. Whit the service/parts manager at PitBull has agreed to wear a pink tutu one day if we raise the money. So let's blow them out of the water.

11. GOS will be cooking the pancake breakfast Friday morning. Free to everyone but they will be taking donations that will go to Isabel's House.

12. 50/50 Probably Saturday Night. Proceeds to go to Isabel's House.

13. Raffle Baskets. Tickets will be sold all during SpyderFest at Vendor Village, $1 each or 6 for $5. Several groups/states are putting baskets together. You can contact Patti McBride or myself and we will give you more information on getting your item to us. Please PM and will give you information needed. (Rumor has it there will be a "50 Shades of Spyder" Basket)

14. If you pre register you will get a special SpyderFest Hoodie, that WILL NOT be sold at SpyderFest!!!

15. Saturday night we will be returning the special SpyderFest Chips to everyone to keep as a souvenir.

16. Drag races chairs are Seth O & Feet, along with the help of Joe P.

Wrist band will be required to participate in Spyder Games, Drag Racing, Group Rydes, Casino Night, Byke Show. and Saturday Nigh Events. Anyone can attend vendor village, it is open to the public.

I hope I have covered our top highlights for this year.

The registration deadline is fast approaching, April 1. So if you want that hoodie, get registered!!!!

See you in just over 30 days!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Joanie for the info. As this will be our first spyderfest or any rally, we do not know what to expect. This info sheds a little light on the subject. Thanks again for the info.

We are planning to get to SF this year and would like to stop and visit the MO Botanical Garden in St. Louis on the way. I'm thinking of staying in the Fenton/Sunset Hills (I44 & I270) area. There 5 hotels I am considering: Pear Tree Inn Fenton, Towne Place Inn Fenton, Drury Inn & Suite Fenton, Best Western Kirkwood Inn, Holiday Inn Express Fenton, and Hampton Inn Sunset Hills. Can anyone from the area give some insight on the area and these hotels? Any info would be appreciated and thanks in advance for your help.

I am planning on arriving in the area on the 25th, I will email my friend and get her recommendation on were to stay in the Fenton area.

She works nights so I probably won't hear anything until morning. I used to date a girl that lived in Fenton Missouri botanical gardens are really nice. And I live in Fenton Michigan.

My friend recommends the Drury Inn. What day are you planning on heading down to Springfield? I'm planning on heading down there on Monday the 27th.

Little help.
We did the Eureka Ryde today, and there were no cards given out from what I could tell.
