Damaged '14 RT on EBay

That is not an "EZ FIXER" That has bent frame written all over it.

Yes, this one popped up here last week. I think they were asking $9,500 then. Most recommended to walk away from this one as it most likely has frame damage.

Yup... that baby has a bent frame for sure! :shocked:
The SST frames are NOT all that strong, and the noses will easily. This bike looks as if it took a solid shot to the Left Front tire area, and it turned the bike up onto it's side... :yikes:

Looked on Ebay last night and it says that it has been sold! Someone was naïve enough to by that wreck!!!!!

At least in this case the ad looks legit. The same seller has other current and past listings and he has a web site with the same info. A VIN check comes back showing the correct vehicle. CarFax shows 3 records but I'm not going to spend $40 to find out what they are. Probably accident report.

If he was selling it for $2000 to $4000 I'd consider buying it to put the engine and tranny in my 2013 RT. Would be a lot of work but should be doable since the '13 frame was built for the 1330 engine.

It's interesting this guy has it to sell because if an insurance company paid off on it it would normally go to an insurance company associated sales yard.

I did the same thing to my 2002 nissan maxima. I was actually able to repair the damage quite easily. Even tho the car had 185k on it, I got $2500 for it after buying it back for $600. It now has 200k and my daughter has it at App. State college. She is still attempting to kill the car, but I told her it needed to last her 2 remaining years of college. I have owned it since 5 miles, and the only repairs necessary have been 1 radiator. Just hoping God keeps it together until she graduates, then maybe we can pass on the 2009 Maxima to her.

Out here a lot of these wrecks go up for auction by the insurance companies at salvage auctions.
I know someone that makes a living doing this.
