Ok, so after riding with my feet on the highway pegs, my right foot started to get real hot. After looking for a solution I found you could make your own heat shield so I did and it works great. I made it from a cookie sheet and used high temp primer and painting to match on the bac side I used a heat shield tape available at a auto parts store. Here are the pics http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=102924&stc=1http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=102925&stc=1http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=102923&stc=1http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=102926&stc=1

 Not bad for my first mod.

I think Lamont first posted his cookie sheet design way back in 2010... good to see it recycled.

I posted my wife's first heat deflector design around the same timehttp://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=102928&stc=1This was cut off of a garbage can.

The second was a rubberized deflectorhttp://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=102929&stc=1 Both of these were on her 2010 RT.

I like the way you used the rubber flap, would you happen to have a templete of it ? I've been trying to get the same shape but not having any look.

I made mine easily removable. Trust if you use pegs you will have to block off the dragon mouth!
You do not have to make one from what I made one out of (the junk BRP trunk shelf), but the principle of making it removable is the same.

Strategic cut outs for notches and using the cover to hold it in place.

She bought the second deflector from Avon Rubber products. When I tried to find a web site for them I saw a very different kind of rubber product so I guess they don't sell these any longer.
