F3 Panel Removal

The only one I know that has removed the panels from the F3 so far is Lamont, but if anyone has a how-to guide or video of what to expect with the panel removal, it would be greatly appreciated (had one for my old RT-S and was a life saver). I am expecting delivery on my F3 shortly and want to be able to get it into the paint shop as quick as possible.

Plus any tips or things to look for would be great. I know Lamont had stated that there are a lot of push pins, is there any tricks to those so I don't have to replace to many of them when it's reassembled?

What are you trying to do Daryll? I've had mine off a couple of times and the whole thing is apart right now. I think it is easier to work on than my RT.

Download the owners manual. There's a decent set of panel removal instructions in the manual. The panels are a lot easier to remove than on the RT!

I've been in a time crunch and no time for that right now. I just did a body swap today and it wasn't that bad. I just got mine back tonight and I'll be putting it back together tomorrow. No time to video it as it will be done through out the day as I add lighting.

ive done it too on my build page you can see it

the f3 is the most easy spyder to work on for removing the plastic what part you want to remove

you need torks t25 t30 and 8 mm key a tuflook tool ou flat screwdriver if you dont have the tufflock tool a 10mm deep socket with that you can almost remove every thing

I have attached what one these look like. It is not an instruction manual, but it will show you what is involved. Actually, I am putting a PDF together of all the body parts that I may want to take apart. Since I don't have a garage - I have to plan work out in advance and surprises and unknowns just eat up too much time. I will post when I have that done and make the PDF available to the Forum - probably some time next week. It, like the manuals, is great to have on my iPad and iPhone when you are working on the Spyder.

I have it and it looks very good - I had one for my GS and used it several times. I highly recommend it. Worth the $28.50 price. ( especially since I am no Lamont or BAM )

I agree with what everyone has said so far, taking the F3 apart and especially putting it back together is much easier than my GS or ST-S was. It seems to me that there may be more bolts and ect., but they are much easier to get to.

I am supposed to take delivery on Wednesday. Everything I have heard it is very easy to remove the body panels.
