Has anyone else had problems with filling up the tank? The lid just doesn't seem to open up wide enough to get a proper alignment of the gas nozzle.

The lid doesn't open all the way to allow the vapor recovery hose/nozzle we have here in California to fit properly but I've filled my tank twice and didn't have any problem with filling it up or it stopping automatically.

Will have to take a closer look to see if I can make some modification . Last and first fill up wasn't pretty and as usual the stations paper towel dispenser was empty.

I knew someone who had this http://www.mccuff.com and it worked pretty good. Might be worth a try.

? Huh ? Not sure what you are talking about. A picture might help. Mine opens just fine, easy fillups. I'll get a picture later.

The flip up only opens to a vertical position, leaving the internal sealing portion in the way which crowds the vapor ring on the pump nozzle. One would think the gas cap would swing all the way open until it hits the Tupperware .

Sounds like an issue unique to states that require special nozzles.

Yes California. I ordered the item suggested above which pulls back the vapor guard. Only problem is the site couldn't complete the transaction, but I see Pay Pal took out the money. Emailed Mc Cuff.

Did you get the sport bike model version? Let us know how it worked out on the F3.
Thanks!

Yes, and will report back. I'm in Los Angeles and they are in Beverly Hills, so should have soon once I get the order issue resolved and I burn through the tank of gas...[emoji57]

No filling up on my end for a while. Mine has been stuck in the garage for a couple of weeks because of snow and frigid temps. :gaah::banghead::gaah:

Can't wait for warmer weather!

It seems McCuff's customer service line is not in use. Called and I just get offers for all kinds of products and services, including phone sex. Filled a complaint with Pay Pal. What a pain in the &%$#.

I've had issues getting the nozzle in the tank whenever it has a vapor recovery system. The BMW K1600's gas cap didn't fold back far enough, and some folks took a dremel tool to the stops. The gas cap on the F3 (here in TX) opens even less than the BMW did, IMHO. It definitely could open up more. It makes me look for gas stations that don't have the vapor recovery system on the nozzle.

Mine looks about the same as the gas cap on the F3. I have to get around to the high side (bike on kickstand) and hold the gas nozzle vertical and up off the bottom otherwise it will keep kicking off, thinking the tank is full. Victory has a high tunnel in the middle of the tank to clear the air intake and unfortunately they also put the gas cap right smack in the middle where it's extremely shallow. Some gas stations have their pressure set too high on their gas pumps and it's impossible for me to fill up. Keeps shutting off or back spilling up over the top of the filler hole in the cap. I usually just go to another pump and if their all that way I just go to another gas station. Very frustrating sometimes.

GunDoc, sorry about the hassle. I feel bad I sent you in that direction. Hopefully it gets sorted out. I hope you do end up getting it to let us all know how it works on the F3.

Good luck.

It seems their site takes orders, but no one is active on their contact info. Phone number is nothing but a bunch of offers and even a porn phone sex offer. So far nothing from Pay Pal case opened, but they wait 30 days to decide what to do. I searched the WHOIS info and that was a dead end. Very active years ago though.

So today I receive my McCuff in the mail?? I'm lost how a company can operate like this. No working phone, no response from emails. Sure hope it works, would hate to try and return it.
