I just got my new copy of Road Runner in the mail today and they had a nice write-up about the F3 in there. One of my favorite motorcycle magazines which doesn't favor one brand or type of bike over the rest. Lots of travel stories and useful stuff along with unbiased road tests.

I use 1 hand to activate reverse... so I disagree about it taking 2 hands.

. . . . I don't even know how you would shift into Reverse with two hands!? :dontknow:

I also would not describe the storage as "roomy", but then, if you have had any other Spyder, you could be considered spoiled.

All in all though, one of the better write ups I have read.

I spotted another small error in that he thought it had an electrically driven reverse. Can Ams have a reverse gear in the transmission like an automobile whereas most conventional trikes use the starter motor to back-up. Some conversion trike kits have a separate starter motor to engage the final drive belt.

Oh yes! the "roomy" storage description made me laugh out loud.

In the write-up, the author states that the F3 has a Goldwing-like electric reverse. Is this true? First I've heard of a switch from the traditional "actual" reverse gear.
