Our dinner reservations have been made for FRIDAY night. We will be dinning at "Tom's Grille" located directly across the street from one of our host hotel "Holiday Inn"
Reservations are at 6:30 and they are newly renovated and we have the whole back room to our selves. I have never had a bad meal or bad service there. You will love it.

Our choices for dinner will be 1) Domitri's Chicken 2) Pork Chop & 3) Cajun Shrimp Alfredo

Our route is planned ! Our morning ride is about 125 +/- miles of nice twisty back roads.
We will leave the Kroger Fuel Station @ 8:00 am.

Our stop for lunch on Saturday will be at the http://www.brasslanternrestaurant.com/ . I have been going there for years, the owners are wonderful. They are not usually open for lunch but they are doing it for us. They have put together a "plan ahead" menu for us. Please look for the menu in the above thread and email (connie9003@gmail.com) me your choices for lunch. We need to give them a heads up on what we would like and how many of us there will be.

Choose between; chopped steak with green peppers/onions or chicken picatta
Then Choose two out of the three sides: mashed potatoes, broccoli and Caesar salad

After lunch we have an OPTIONAL ride to see one of LBL's hidden treasures. https://www.explorekentuckylake.com/explorations/Ststevens.htm The reason I say optional is it involves a 1.8 mile gravel road. Wasn't sure how many of you wanted to take your spyders off roading. I have been told this is a must see. I was able to do a dry run and it is really cool.

We will be creeping down this road to make sure we don't damage our bikes or kick up as little dust as possible.

For those of you who do not wish to go on the optional Off road adventure. Make your first stop in LBL at the welcome station to find out all the sites to see on the paved roads. Just don't forget dinner @ 6:30 :)

If you google for "average temperature october murray ky" you will get page after page of information on climate for Murray. The one I chose to look at said 72 - 49 so an average of 60°F. I live 150 miles due west of Murry and October is one fine month for riding.

Ok right now I have the morning mapped out with some AWESOME roads its about 125 mile from start to lunch and it will include a few site seeing stops and take about 4 hours with a Fuel stop after 90 ish miles. Now that being said do you want me to add to that for the afternoon or do we want to take that time to be able to see all the attractions in Land Between the Lakes ? They have "The Home Place" the "Nature Station" and a few other interesting places to visit. So we can do those as a group and finish our day out that way or I can plan more miles. When searching look around the Murray, Aurora, Golden Pond area. Those that camp in LBL you can meet us when we cross the bridge instead of driving all the way to Murray then back. It is beautiful camping there. Try to stay near the 68/80 & Trace intersection. LBL is a LARGE place and if you get to far north or south in either direction you could end up with a longer ride that expected. :)

Ok so something cool happened. 1) my plan for Saturday night dinner fell through, made me sad.So I went back to where our Friday night reservation were to book it for Saturday as well, turns out no dice our room was already spoken for. So I'm like GREAT 3 weeks away and I can't find a place for us to eat (up to my expectations that is) so my brain wonders I'm like now what ???? Then I remembered this little place by the college and I thought hey I'll just look. Well it had gone our of business. But low and behold a new bigger place had taken its place . So I go in and they said thier event person was off that day and she would have to call me back. So she did and I stopped by after work and low and behold .........OMG they are giving us our own bar/restaurant. They are providing us with our own private bar tender and we'll as our own servers and we have the whole second half of the restaurant to our selves. It was great ! So I have a feeling if you guys give it the thumbs up it may be a reg stop in our little adventure. I'm so excited.

I would call ahead and ask about availability and size of rig etc. I can not verify condition of grounds, staff attitude or anything. I may go take a look at it this weekend since is right down from my house by the looks on the map.

Ok I went by the previous mentioned camp grounds and 1) I messaged them and finally heard back from them it would be $50.00 for the weekend Friday thru Sunday. The lady that owns the camp grounds is very nice and was very helpful. 2) If you are looking for a "oh it was s beautiful I cant wait to go back" site this is not it.....but they are a new campground just getting started so who knows if we support them they may be able to grow. Yes it is still in a good location BUT depending on your size rig it could be CHALLENGING to get in an out. not impossible. Hope this helps.

The other option in LBL which I do recommend is Wranglers Campgrounds. Not to far off 68/80 beautiful grounds good facilities, lots of different types of hook ups and can handle big rigs (Call ahead to make sure if you have a big rig that the site you choose can handle it. I am curious how well it is built..I have talked to two other people who had two other brands,and theirs had pretty well shook apart..They had to modify them to make them stay together..That,and just being able to size it up in person..Thanks Mike..Maybe see you next year!

1) I'm still waiting on several unchanged choices. I need to get those turned in by 09/28.

2) also just a note since we are such a large party "Tom's grill" has asked us to go to a Limited menu. So I picked the best of the best ! Our choices will be Demetries chicken which is my favorite, Pork chop or Cajun shrimp alfredo. I DO NOT NEED THAT CHOICE LOL.

Our dinner reservations have been made for FRIDAY night. We will be dinning at "Tom's Grille" located directly across the street from one of our host hotel "Holiday Inn"
Reservations are at 6:30 and they are newly renovated and we have the whole back room to our selves. I have never had a bad meal or bad service there. You will love it.

Our choices for dinner will be 1) Domitri's Chicken 2) Pork Chop & 3) Cajun Shrimp Alfredo

Our route is planned ! Our morning ride is about 125 +/- miles of nice twisty back roads.

Our stop for lunch on Saturday will be at the http://www.brasslanternrestaurant.com/ . I have been going there for years, the owners are wonderful. They are not usually open for lunch but they are doing it for us. They have put together a "plan ahead" menu for us. Please look for the menu in the above thread and email (connie9003@gmail.com) me your choices for lunch. We need to give them a heads up on what we would like and how many of us there will be.

Choose between; chopped steak with green peppers/onions or chicken picatta
Then Choose two out of the three sides: mashed potatoes, broccoli and Caesar salad
Let me know If you would like Mushrooms for a $1.50 Upcharge.

After lunch we have an OPTIONAL ride to see one of LBL's hidden treasures. https://www.explorekentuckylake.com/explorations/Ststevens.htm The reason I say optional is it involves a 1.8 mile gravel road. Wasn't sure how many of you wanted to take your spyders off roading. I have been told this is a must see. I was able to do a dry run and it is really cool.

Church is 1.8 miles

We will be creeping down this road to make sure we don't damage our bikes or kick up as little dust as possible.

For those of you who do not wish to go on the optional Off road adventure. Make your first stop in LBL at the welcome station to find out all the sites to see on the paved roads. Just don't forget dinner @ 6:30 :)

So i wasnt sure if anyone had missed the new thread or if maybe last year stunk and no one wants to come back :( I only have about ( that i can count) 20 people signed up for this year.
