OK, I did my first last real mod this past weekend.

I bought and installed the Kewlmetal mirror extensions.
First, let me say they are worth every penny, at least for me. Now instead of a perfect view of my shoulders, I can see whats behind me all the way up through my blind spot. Looks like I wont need to mess around contacting Multivex after all.!!!!
Only negative thing I might point out on these is that to the average Joe, they look like they were made by the OEM, but to us owners, it could have been tweaked a tiny bit more to match the lines a little better, and possibly inluded a machined slot to allow reinstallation of the plastic cover on the front. Not huge issues or showstoppers, but just points to ponder.

Overall grade: A

Only previous mod to this was a GPS mounted on the right handlebar using a RAM ball mount on a U bolt mounted where the lil plastic sleeve was. Got power from the plug meant for the 12V acc plug in the trunk. This makes it shut off when the key is off, but iot works well enough til I feel like rewiring for full tyime power.
Id rather have it on the left side or the center so I could more easily reach buttons with my left hand, but it works fine where it is.

Overall grade: A-

OK, Ive added a few things
Bought the Givi saddlebag mounts from another owner, and mounted those, and today just picked up my GIVI V35 bags with inner liners. These things look GREAT on the Spyder!!!!

I also fianlly after many years of riding, invested in some heated gear (gloves and jacket. I have yet to test any of it out, but will soon.

Little John,

I agree with you on the mirror extentions on all points. They are almost an essential mod, but too square looking, and i think the channel for the wire needs to be a few thousands wider. I would recommend them.

Heated seat and grips yahoo! Where is the best place to get them? I live in Florida so anything under 65 is too cold to ride for me. I guess my blood has thinned out.:trike:
