This could be interesting, Fairgrounds would be more suited to circle track.

If the group rides go to the same destination each day, and leave about 20 minutes apart, how you going to accommodate 300 riders showing up at 9:00 and the possibility of overwhelming the destination point with too many riders?

Will the ride routes be posted as a download for the Garmin GPS 660's?

I agree with Chico. It will be a total cluster on the front end and at the destination if there is not some sort of pre-registration for EACH ride? Someone said there will be different rides/destinations each day which is great. why not have the variable destinations on each departure of each day for ryders to pick and choose (at pre-registration) and eliminate the confusion at the beginning and more important at the destinations??? Just an idea from a veteran ryder.

The title of this thread is "Tentative SpyderFest Schedule." As in more informations coming...

Sit back, relax, it's only January.

Just an idea from a veteran rider and a veteran MOgang member.

Rest assured the MoGang ride captains are in the process of finalizing these now.

There is no sign up sheet-- just because of the large number of attendees. Rides will leave out of the fairground parking lot--all going the same route, a different route each day--every 15 minutes for about 2 hours each morning.

You will have access to maps so if you decide not to join one of the group rides you are able to do any or all of the rides at your leisure.

We look forward to seeing you in April!

Best Regards,
Vanessa Damouth

This will be our 3rd SpyderFest and we are looking forward to the great time in Missouri and reacquainting with SpyderLovers from all over. There have been comments on 'do this' and 'do that': stay the course you have planned. As my dad used to say, some people "would bit$h if you gave them a gold brick because they'd have to carry it to the bank". As a volunteer group, you expend a great deal of effort to make our trip memorable - thank you!

I think it's fair to state that not everyone can do everything - only so much time in the day. Having personal experience with ride planning and leading as a road captain, it only takes one rider to foul my plans. The hot doggers will complain about a person with lesser skill; the newer riders will complain as the hotdogger seems like they are trying to procreate Spyder offspring. When we ride in a group we give up our individual freedom for the sake of the group. It's easy to make a plan on sign up and times, but then we as riders need to commit to being there, which often doesn't happen (as we get distracted by other events, or in conversation, or it's too hot or too cold, etc.). Also, if you want to feel welcomed at an event, make others feel welcome, too: it's all to easy to find the self important person in any situation.

See ya'll in April!

It is Saturday, I just have the day off on Friday and my fingers and brain were not working together. Unfortunately there was no wine involved, so that is probably why. I have corrected to say this weekend. But yes Saturday at 3 p.m.!
