Need Owner's Event Dates and location ASAP.

Don't need Hotel info yet, just need date and location to see if I can make the trip with my vacation schedule.

We were told in Durango that it would be announced in December, which was great. It is now mid January and still no info, not so great.

Boss wanted vacation requests turned last week.

It is very unfortunate that BRP is NOT very customer oriented!!! We all like the product but their customer service skills are HORRIBLE!!!!!!!

Just keep in mind BRP does not have to hold the owners event at all, It is something they do to show their thanks to all of us for standing behind their brand. Yes they did say by December at last years event but the person that made that statement is no longer with them. There is a great deal of planning that needs to be done for them to hold this event, when all the plans are in place I'm sure we will all know when and where.

Personally, I think you should consider forgoing the OE and plan your vacation around Spyderfest instead. Its a larger event with more attendees, more to do and more vendors. That is what we are doing this year. Hope to see you in MO.

I have been to Spyderfest for several years in a row and this year is no different. It is a great event also. I would like to know if the Owners Event is also a possible trip for this summer.
I have several other trips that could be taken if the Owners Event is too far.

While I have nothing against BRP (except for the curt reception I've received on the very few occasions I've called customer service) I really doubt that BRP is that gratuitous. My bet is that the owner's event is something they do to promote brand recognition and brand loyalty, which would make good marketing sense.

I'm not planning to go to SpyderFest this year. I'm wanting the owner's event info?
It's true BRP doesn't have to put on their event. But it would be nice to know when it will be for those who need to plan their vacations and put in their requests for the companies they work for?

The GWRRA's Wing Ding next event is announced with the location and reservations open when the current event just closed! That's planning ahead! I have my hotel reservations made and have registered for the event in Huntsville, AL for this September. Someone has to represent Spyders at Wing Ding, if BRP won't. Several bike companies including HD will have bikes there for demo rides.
The GWRRA has a great trike riding course that has been adapted for Spyders. I get a nice discount on my insurance from taking their course to boot! It's going to be more fun when I take it again because I have BajaRon's sway bar on my Spyder now!

Perhaps, just perhaps, BRP does not know where it will be held at this point.
Perhaps, just perhaps, BRP may have "city fathers", zoning ordinances and other matters incidental to having an event such as this to deal with.
Perhaps, just perhaps, BRP would like to make sure that all the "T's" are crossed and all the "EYES" are dotted before making such an announcement.
Perhaps, just perhaps BRP at one time truly thought that they would be able to make such an announcement only to have some bureaucratic issue fly in their face.
Perhaps, just perhaps, we can either be patient and allow them time to work everything out OR we can make the decision that we will not be able to attend.

Difficult to plan these events some times. Stuff happens. I do understand that some companies need vacation times way in advance. That does create problems for some.

I don't feel we have to take this to complaining about BRP and their customer service though. Seems a little bit of a far reach. IMO of course.

Maybe way to far and way too cold for some west coasters but several from north of you where it is colder and further to go are going and have gone in the past. I'm in BC, Canada just north of the Washington border and we are booked and registered and plan to make it. Of course we might have to ryde through cold and snow to get there. Maybe we're just nuts. :yikes:

From LA it should be a piece of cake. nojoke

Maybe they are busy with gathering info for a government agency..............

LATony, the $64,000 question IS WHERE the event will be held this year. Over the last 4 years it has alternated between Maggie Valley, NC and Durango, CO but word was that it would not be at either of those places this year. Prior to that it was in Quebec, Los Angeles, and Chicago. There is an event that is much closer to home for you and that is Spyders in the Redwoods, this year it will be held at the Blue Lake Casino, Blue Lake, CA. The dates are August 18th to the 21st.

Oh yeah???? When was that? That is encouraging. I could go to that. One of these years, maybe they'll again have it somewhere in the EAST for us East Coast owners.

I wouldn't mind NC or Quebec. They are about equal distance for me. Not to mention Pennsylvania - an absolutely BEAUTIFUL place to ride a Spyer. ;)

but the reorganization must have left this unattended. If they have no date at least say so that way those with limited time can set a schedule for their time off...jmho...

Id like to check this one out too, however this isnt close either, its about 700 miles. That would be like you guys passing though about 5 states :)
Be an awesome place to ride though i will have to look up a website.

It was the consensus of the attendees after LA and Chicago that big cities were really not conducive to large groups of Spyders plus the hotels were pretty expensive. I would be very surprised if you see it in a major metropolitan area.

When I lived in Redlands my daughter (home on leave), and I went in 2012. It was a blast, and worth the ryde. We took two days with some sight seeing thrown it, so while it was over 700 miles each way. We really had a great time with my daughter.

I highly recommend going, and if I still had a Spyder I would go again.
